My daughter started Kumon here and she gets excited to come and learn. She has improved in reading and math while developing her ability to sit still and focus. I highly recommend starting Kumon early after seeing the impact it has had on my daughter at 4 years old.

My child has had a wonderful experience at this Kumon Center. She started at age 3 with both Math and Reading, and is still enrolled today at age 5. We plan to also enroll our second child next year. The head teacher is excellent, methodical and patient, and the assistant teachers who work one on one with my child are also very patient and intentional.

Although my child learns the concepts fairly quickly, she is a little unfocused. I feel the Kumon program not only teaches the math and reading concepts well, but discipline through gentle repetition. This aspect is important to us, and I am grateful to this Kumon center for their patience and understanding towards our child and our family schedule.

My granddaughter started going to San Gabriel Kumon since last year. I can see her improvement in reading and recognizing the words, not guessing by looking at the picture. Her Math improves a lot too. The teacher is patient and will communicate with us about her progress or needs periodically. We are glad that we made the decision to send her to Kumon.

My son was only enrolled for 6 months before I was able to transfer him to an after school program. But I'm glad he was in Kumon because I have noticed a significant difference in how much he knows compared to his fellow kindergartners. He is considered a "young student" and it was a little difficult to schedule classes for him (and his older sister at the same time), but more of these classes have been added so I assume finding the right time slot is not as difficult now.

My daughter has been enrolled for the past 8 months. She was the main reason I looked into Kumon. Prior to enrolling, she struggled in math and reading. But I have noticed a remarkable difference in her abilities. Kumon has instilled discipline so I don't have to bother her as much to finish her homework. She has more initiative to complete her Kumon homework and regular homework in a timely manner.

I didn't think Kumon was that helpful because their curriculum didn't seem to overlap my daughter's public school curriculum. However, the instillation of discipline and repetition has drastically improved her study habits. This school year has been significantly easier on me compared to before she enrolled in Kumon. She is a lot more independent and capable. I think Kumon played a major role in this change.

Scheduling one child has been a lot more easier on their website. And when I am having issues, Mr. Okamura has been able to accommodate my last minute schedule change requests. I do wish scheduling on the website could be displayed in a calendar view versus the current list view.

But overall, I'm grateful Kumon has helped improve my daughter's study habits.

I really love this place the their education philosophy. Many people says Kumon is just about repeating and drills. But that’s actually how all professional athletes practice and perfect their skills. It is also really good to train kids to be able to sit down and try their best to concentrate.

My kid says that you guys don’t tutor my kid he says that you give him a packet that is not on his grade level he is in the sixth grade and you guys gave him a homework packet under his grade level (1 star)
