My daughter was born in the Dominican Republic. We moved to the US when she was 3 years old, and she spoke no English. Daycare and eventually Pre-k were a big challenge because of the language barrier. We enrolled my daughter Isabella in Kumon about 3 months after she moved to the US. Mrs. Jane, who runs the Kumon center at Eagles Landing (Georgia) has been nothing short of incredible. Mrs. Jane is a skilled and gifted educator who seems to have mastered the art of teaching children of all ages. It is evident in how she manages her Kumon center that she takes her role in her students lives serious. She sets standards, and she sets clear expectations. Interestingly enough, Mrs. Jane seems to know all her students by name, as well as knowing exactly where students are at (and where they need to be) with their reading and math. My daughter is only enrolled in English, yet her strong reading skills allowed her to skip kindergarten altogether, and is currently enjoying 1st grade, where her teacher has already told me that she is ahead of the entire class. I do have to say that Mrs. Jane and Kumon will not reach such high results by themselves. It is imperative to know that a child’s education is the responsibility of the parents, whom should be as involved as possible in all facets of their child’s education. One of the great things about Mrs. Jane is that she always tries to make herself available for a quick text, call or in person meeting to help out with the study materials in the event the parent doesn’t understand something or needs clarification on something.
While Kumon is in fact an extra expense, it is money well spent, and it is a smart, solid investment. I enjoy Kumon at Eagles Landing so much so that I plan to enroll my 3 year old soon very soon. Here’s hoping he can skip a grade too.

I attended this center throughout my childhood and early middle school years, and it was most certainly the reason I stayed ahead in school. It was a resource that taught me patience and practice, two skills I have since greatly benefited from learning. Ms. Jane is an extremely encouraging instructor, and develops a personal connection to each student who attends her center. I highly recommend Kumon to any students who want to excel and move ahead of their current school curriculum and to any students who need extra resources to keep up in their classes.

Ms. Jane is amazing. She is extremely knowledgeable and very patient with the young ones. Kumon is amazing. I went from kindergarten through high school. Now I have a second grader that I was wanting to bring to this location however after visiting to get him assessed my first impression of this location is chaotic unprofessional and unorganized. We ended up signing up in Buckhead when we live in Stockbridge due to the circumstances of this center.

I am eternally grateful for the KUMON program with Mrs. Jane. They really prepare your child in the areas of reading and math to globally compete in the academic world. The staff is so professional and are committed to giving a successful road map for your child to follow. My own testimony is that my child was struggling and now he has become a more confident and excelled student.
