Like the previous reviewer, my spouse and I have also been charged by Kumon Casas Adobes for future lessons that will never take place, after trying to withdraw our student. For those considering providing your payment information to Kumon Casas Adobes, please exercise due caution and care. I requested a refund, but have not received any satisfaction. The next step, I’m afraid, is taking legal action to recover my losses and deter future bad conduct on the part of this poorly run and managed organization.

My older son attended kumon for 7 years. Thanks to this great program his grades improved and he graduated high school with a high gpa. He is now starting college with a great scholarship. My younger son just started a year ago he is only 8 years old and his grades are also improving. Thank you kumon.

I was looking for a summer program to keep my daughter's mind occupied and unfortunately I found the Kumon location at Casas Adobes. When reviewing the website and watching the videos the program seems good on paper. My daughter struggles with math and reading so I thought it would be a good Idea to keep her occupied in something educational throughout the summer to prepare her for 5th grade. The program boasts 30 minutes twice a week at Kumon and 3 days a week with approximately another 30 minutes of work at home with worksheets. They do an evaluation to see where your child's learning level is and I was told they would start her off a little under that to recap what she has already learned for confidence purposes. What a joke! The fist time I dropped her off I got a call within 15 minutes saying she was ready to go. She should have been there for 1 hour seeing that I enrolled her for math and reading. Comes to find out the started her off with first grade math and second grade reading level (2+1, 3+1). Not only did we only spend 15 minutes max at Kumon it only took her between 5 and 15 minutes at home to do the daily work for both subjects. I should have saved my money and printed work sheets from the internet and we would have been better off. I called the corporates number on the website and was told I had to discuss my concerns with the franchise directly. When I attempted to discuss my concerns with the owner, her assistant told me she would have the owner call me back. When I did not hear back I called and left a message, still no communication. My husband and I decided we would just ride out the rest of July knowing we would not be continuing into the school year. The last week in July got busy with getting ready for school so I did not call to let Carmon know we would not be returning (I guess she did not notice my daughter was not in attendance for the last 10 days nor had she thought to call back) until the first day of Aug. which was a Monday. That would have been the first day of the month and first schedule Kumon class. Of course no answer and I had to leave a voice mail letting her know that we would not be returning and I also let her know that my money was withdrawn from my account July 26th and would she please return Aug. tuition. The next day I did not get a call but a text that read she was sorry but she would not be returning my money because I did not notify her by the 24th of July. When I explained to her I made attempts to contact her to discuss my concerns she apologized for her lack of communication and my unhappiness with the program but said she still would not return my money. It seem to me you do not get what you are sold on the website and money is what is really important. I called cooperate to make a complaint and that was a waist of time. I waited 2 weeks and heard nothing so I called back and surprise surprise they were still waiting on Carmon to respond!
