Love this school, Mrs Davis is amazing....all my kids have had awesome teachers... Great neighborhood, very family friendly, unless your homeless then they won't let ur child attend school.

Overall, I am happy with Lakeside Farms but there can be improvements. My daughter had to repeat K this year due to her being taught by substitute teacher for 7 months out of the year, last year. My wife and I were very upset. A teacher/ principle should randomly verify that substitutes are educating with a program.
Child Abuse training for the staff every year or properly educate a few staff members, to send children to them; before notifying CPS. The school has notified CPS twice on us with concerns for our child. After dealing with CPS, CPS concluded that the school had filed a false claims on us and no abuse was evident.
No need for trying to be deceitful. The day we were notified by CPS, before our meeting with the agent; my wife called the school asking questions of the situation of our child in which the staff members had lied to her about what was going on. A simple answer of "Ma'am, there were some concerns for your child so CPS was notified", that didn't happen.
Besides these areas of that need improvement, my wife and I are pleased with Lakeside Farms areas of educations.

Love this school. My son is in kindergarten and has medical issues like asthma and food allergies but the teachers and staff are very supportive. We are very blessed to have moved to this area and are going to this school.

I went here and I love it I'm now in 8th grade and they really do their job in getting you ready for middle school. The teachers are amazing and always try to help in the best way possible.I liked this school a lot more than the other elementary schools that I had went to.

The very best principle of any schools ive ever met (Mr.Thompson/Mr. T)! The teachers are all about the children and their education and keep parents involved and updated. This school challenges the children. The add fun to education which makes the children enjoy learning. This is also the only elementary school that ive ever known of that gets the children ready for jr high and high school by doing what they called rotations which is switching classes just as they would in high school or Junior High. I give it 5 stars!
