Programs that involve health, information and education, along with engaging creativity, and fostering relationships that lead to lifelong friendships, are the keys to success for The Laurels.
I have partnered with The Laurels for many years involving senior recreation for Huron county and the city of Norwalk. I have collaborated with the Director of marketing to construct activities that are designed to stimulate educate, entertain, and inspire.
The Laurels have a plethora of resources, as well as professional, brilliant staff. Our senior community is in enriched by their partnerships, sponsorships and commitment to quality care.

The Laurels of New London is a very welcoming and friendly facility. You are always greeted with a smile when you walk through the door and the nurses perform phenomenal patient centered care. I cannot say enough about how great the nurses are. They truly work as a team and care about the patients. The facility is also very clean and they are always looking for ways to improve patient experience. Overall, it is a great facility with great care. I cannot say enough about how good of a facility it truly is.

I just brought my mom home. I can't say enough good about the Laurels. They gave my mom the best care I could ask for. They are also super responsive on the office side and respond quickly to emails and calls

I would recommend this place to anyone. It's professional , clean, friendly, the food is good, the rooms are large, the staff is very helpful. I have been treated with respect and kindness as I take care of my 94 year old mother who has been more or less bedroom there at the facility. We had some issues with Medicaid and three of the staff members went to bat for us to try to keep the price for my mom's monthly Care at a reasonable rate. They're always willing to take my calls and address any little concern I may have. Oh by the way I'm the daughter, I recently remarried and moved to New London and lo and behold there was The Laurels 3 minutes door to door from my door to my mother's door and right across the street from my doctor so it was just a miracle that there was a place like this here where I was moving to. So it has been a godsend all the way around and there's nothing more I can say other than they're the best. And I talk to people in town friends neighbors and every one of them has a story saying oh yes the place is very good I had so-and-so in my family there and it was a good experience etc. So thank you to all the staff there they go above and beyond. Respectfully yours my 94 year old mother's only family, her daughter. She has no friends because they have all died. Which is sad for her because she's outlived them all and there's nobody left. So I'm grateful that my new husband is willing to visit her and charm her and make her feel important. Thanks everyone. God be with you. We're going to put a bird feeder outside of her window with some sewage in it because she loves birds so much so that's what we're working on right now and the facility is agreeable to us doing this.

IMO... One of the best (the BEST) Nursing Home/REHAB in our area! Mom was hospitalized for 9 days and needed PT/OT. We chose this facility for the first time, even tho it's 25 mins drive from home, was recommended by 2 other family members. The PA, Nurses, Aides, the whole staff are phenomenal, giving a rating of 90%! If ever mom needs a facility, it'll be HERE! THANK YOU STAFF!!!

My son is in this nursing home, and they are so good to him,, they take real good care of him, his room's always clean , and the staff is always looking out for him, so if anyone is looking for a good nursing home this is the one, the one good thing is when I leave him and go home I don't have to worry about him cuz I know he's in good hands, so I think you Laurels of New London and all the staff for caring so much...

The Laurels of New London is the perfect fit for our family. The care my cousin receives there is exceptional. The skilled nurses are not only knowledgeable, but also genuinely compassionate, ensuring that all her needs are met. I appreciate how well the staff communicates any changes in her condition and medications—it's comforting to stay informed.

The entire team is friendly and welcoming, creating a warm environment for both residents and visitors. Every time I walk in, I feel the positive energy and care that fills the building.

The only suggestion I have is to consider organizing more outings for the residents. The recent trip to the county fair was such a highlight for my cousin and truly made her year! I would love to see more opportunities like this in the future, as they bring so much joy and excitement to the residents' lives.

Overall, I highly recommend The Laurels of New London for their outstanding care and supportive environment!

My mother has been at The Laurels for about 7 months and I am beyond pleased with this facility. I can sleep at night knowing she is taken care of. I have seen staff interact with residents when no one saw me. They treat my mother and myself like family. Anytime I had a question or concern it was addressed and taken care of. The nursing staff are very attentive and helpful. It is a great facility if you or someone you love needs assistance or long term care.
