Hands down, Lucia is the best tutor! She is an intelligent, polished professional, who explains things clearly and is extremely patient. She always varies when tutoring between writing, speaking and reading activities, which really helps me to improve my language ability. I also enjoy our conversations on different topics, which makes my learning process much easier and memorable. I should mention that I met Lucia when I had zero knowledge of Italian language. With her help these past four months, I now can confidently say that I have a progress understanding, reading and speaking Italian. It is also worth mentioning, her happy personality and big smile always makes our lessons very pleasant 🙂 I would highly recommend Lucia as a tutor!

Lucia is a very patient teacher. Learning Italian with her has been fun with stories, music and lessons. She allows you to learn at your own pace and does not make you feel like you have to memorize everything at once. Speaking in Italian with her 2 sometimes 3 times a week about everyday life has allowed me to learn with ease.

Lucia is absolutely a phenomenal teacher. Very detailed, helpful, patient, and fun to work with. I have been learning Italian on and off by myself for over the last decade. But now I've been taking private lessons with Lucia for over 2 years now. I feel as if in this time my speaking and recollection of the language has grown immensely. Her group sessions are so much fun and helpful. And really help to make the language more interesting and beautiful. Recently we did a small class travel group with Lucia for a week in Italy (May 2022). Only in Italian. We had group lessons everyday and they were so wonderful! I feel as if my level and ease of speaking in Italian is so much better after this trip. During the Italy trip after each group lesson we did events or excursions that had to do with the lesson. It helped to solidify the information we learned and therefore broadened the learning experience. Lucia planned so many great details and locations that made this trip amazing. I tell everyone I know about my wonderful Italian teacher Lucia. She is truly a bright soul with a gift of teaching her native language. And I am so glad I took the leap of faith to finally start taking private lessons to help me on my journey to fluency and being able to travel around Italy freely speaking it's beautiful language.

Lucia is by far the best Italian tutor I have found, and her program is flexible enough to adjust to my knowledge level and accommodate my difficult schedule.

My family is Italian and I studied Italian language and literature as an undergrad, but I had fallen out of practice. In 2019, I started looking for classes to refresh my knowledge. One challenge is that there are lots of courses for beginners, but not very many for intermediate/advanced.

Lucia offers private lessons at a reasonable price, tailored to your individual needs and levels, and on a flexible schedule. Not only is she accommodating, she is truly an excellent teacher. She is a native speaker with superior knowledge of language and grammar. Not only can she correct mistakes, she gives clear explanations of the rules so I can really understand the grammar. She keeps the conversation flowing organically, offers spot-on feedback in a very kind way, and adapts the lessons to meet your interests. For instance, over time, we have done school-like worksheets, read articles, listened to music, and now we're reading books!

I am studying Italian for personal and professional reasons, and have been taking weekly lessons on Skype with Lucia for 4 months now. Lucia has been a terrific teacher. She is a native Italian speaker with a lot teaching experience, but also with a natural ability to educate and to motivate. She quickly adapted her lesson plans to my interests and needs. Her lessons, organized and well planned, often incorporate internet content from Italian media and websites. And her good-natured approach makes it easy to get over the shyness that comes with having to speak another language. If you are interested in learning Italian, I would absolutely recommend her.

Lucia is very pleasant, friendly, and informative. I don’t always study or practice, but she is always kind and patient with my progress.
I attended a language school in Chicago, and I can honestly say Lucia’s online lessons are far better. I plan on continuing my lessons with Lucia for a long time!
