My two sons recently entered the beginner's class and they are having a great experience. Sensei Wolff's introductory lesson was engaging and he is very personable and works well with all ages and levels. The beginner's class is fun, goal-oriented, and challenging. The sensei of the beginner's class does a fabulous job sharing her experience in martial arts in a way that strikes balance between hard work and fun. My children are exercising their bodies and their minds as they become more focused listeners. I highly recommend Ridgefield Kempo!

I brought my 3 year old son here, who had a ton of behavioral issues at home (very defiant, constant tantrums, and almost never seemed happy). My husband and I were willing to try anything to help him be happier in his own skin and stop struggling emotionally the way he was. He also had very little social skills when we brought him to Legacy Martial Arts and I was worried about him and his lack of interest in making friends. In the first 3 months of attending classes, he completely transformed into a socially confident, mature, and compassionate kid. He has been less defiant at home and happier way more often than upset like he was before. I can't say enough about the incredible sensei's that work here and how amazing they are with the students. Master Wolff immediately had an impact on my son during a time where I had never seen anyone get through to him. It impressed me greatly that very first day, and it was Master Wolff who kept us coming back. I'm so glad that we did. My son absolutely loves being at Legacy and it was the first activity/sport he showed any interest in. I highly encourage you to give this place a try. You won't be disappointed!

The location is convenient with ample parking.

They offer trial classes, once your kid gets their started they’ll get hooked.

He genuinely cares for his students and works to build a sense of family and belonging. The instructors are amazing, they really know how to balance fun and discipline while encouraging their students to challenge themselves and grow. My family and I started taking Kempo karate classes at Legacy Martial Arts of Ridgefield about a year and a half ago. We were looking for something to keep the kids healthy and happy. We found it! We have all learned a tremendous amount about life balance and the importance of reaching personal goals even when faced with adversity. Master Wolff and his staff have been courteous and prompt in responding to our inquiries and have followed through with any requests we've made-- gear orders, billing, class attendance, remote classes, and Spark app sign-in issues to name only a few.
In November 2022 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I was relieved at how quickly Master Wolff and Sensei Santucci stepped in to help our family through my brief treatment. They worked with us and kept our best interests at heart like family should. The entire staff has been incredibly supportive as I recovered and jumped right back into classes.
My husband and I are amazed at how much our kids are learning about Kempo karate; however, we are most impressed by the life skills that they are learning from their advanced classes. This is truly preparing them for what life will throw at them.
Lastly, as an educator of children for over 20 years, I would highly recommend this studio for preschool and early elementary children. It teaches self-control and self-regulation, fine and gross motor skills, listening skills, self-confidence, and more-- everything a young child needs to be successful at school and in life.
I would highly recommend Legacy Martial Arts of Ridgefield. It's life-changing.
