Dan is a really gifted teacher. My daughter has had the pleasure of working with Dan since the 2nd grade and she is now graduating high school and will be attending her top college. Dan is incredibly knowledgeable but also patient and engaging. Our daughter struggled with math and Dan's ability to explain complex topics and then reenforce the concepts to help boost her confidence made the difference. Dan's personalized approach based on her learning style made the sessions fun and effective. We also hired Dan for SAT prep and our daughter's scores increased thanks to his expertise. Would recommend without any reservations.

Dan has been a great support to both our son and daughter for the past two years. He has a warm and enthusiastic approach to teaching that allows our children to relax and engage in their studies. My daughter entered lionheart’s program struggling in school with Math and Reading. Dan immediately made her feel comfortable and provided her with a great learning environment and catered to her specific needs. Our son transitioned to a new school in 9th grade which had a different math program than what he was used to. He started struggling so we decided to hire Dan to tutor him. That ended up being the best decision ever!
We continued utilizing Dan's services all the way through 11th grade and even used him for SAT prep. which was extremely helpful.
In his first session Dan assessed his strengths and weaknesses quickly and put together a plan for our son's success. In a short amount of time our son gained confidence, starting grasping the material easier, learned how to advocate for himself, and improved his quiz and test scores.
Dan is kind, patient, thorough, very intelligent, and has a unique ability to connect with students. He's a great listener and advisor which as parents we greatly appreciated.
Dan always made sure our son understood the material and even fit in extra sessions when requested before major tests.
When I asked our son recently about what he liked about Dan he replied, "Mr. Chinburg really cares about me and my success!!!"

We have had a very positive experience with Dan and Lionheart Tutoring. We tried other chain tutoring services but my daughter would always communicate “I need Dan”. Dan provides at terrific program for specific ACT and general academic tutoring at Lionheart. His approach is well thought out, well structured and also flexible. He understands the time constraints on, and bandwidth of, a busy high-schooler and offers the maximum targeted, individualized instruction within them. He is extremely knowledgeable, positive, encouraging and efficient. We saw an enormous improvement in understanding and performance after even a condensed set of sessions. I highly recommend Lionheart!
