Little Learners has proven to be a safe, rewarding, and caring child care provider. We have had two children matriculate from their Oakdale facility, and both have had enriching experiences. The administration and staff at Little Learners has shown great empathy and kindness to both our children since its opening in Oakdale, and as a family of educators, the communication and transparency with all procedures and policies is greatly appreciated. Our daughter is currently in Pre-K with Ms. Kathy. She has grown so much this year and loves going to school every morning!
We would gladly endorse Little Learners for any families that require day care or preschool services in Southeastern Connecticut.

We’ve attended here since it was previously Oakdale Kids Center, and we’ve loved having our kids attend OKC and now, Little Learners of Oakdale.

We were at another daycare originally with our then 2 and 4 year old boys, but it was too big and the 4 year old wasn’t learning much. He was having trouble holding a crayon properly and exhibited tantrums regularly. Luckily I drove by here and decided to give them a call and inquire about their program.

The daycare was a breath of fresh air compared to our experience at a prior day care. One of our kids started attending here when he was 4 and stayed with Ms. Kathy until he went to Kindergarten this year. Almost immediately, his tantrums were less often and he was developing better dexterity while drawing and writing. Having been through his first semester of kindergarten, I will say that he was more than ready for Kindergarten and is doing an amazing job thanks to the great job by the staff, and with special thanks to Ms. Kathy; she really takes her time to know what the kids need help with and strives to ensure they have fun every day. She truly loves being there and we couldn’t have asked for a better teacher.

Our other son started when he was 2 and still goes there now that he’s 3.5 years old. He has had some amazing teachers in his classroom: they have done a superb job showing him what being kind is all about and how to share with his friends. Any time I drop him off, he’s ready to run into the classroom and hug his friends. Whenever I pick him up, he’s either getting a hug from a friend or he’s trying to give one-he’s really in a group with a bunch of nice kids with an excellent staff to support them. It’s nice to see some different faces in the rooms, as several staff will float and assist where needed. I haven’t had any issues with the staff and they’re always smiling and cheerful with our boys.

It's refreshing to see a program with actual curriculum instead of just non-stop playing outside. I feel this daycare readily prepares kids for Kindergarten and provides excellent socialization skills. They also use an app to share pictures and keep us up to date on how the kids are doing throughout the day, unlike the previous day care.

The director, Ms. Kim, is always just a phone call away and more than happy to answer any question we come up with. She's been incredible throughout the onboarding process and whenever we need to know something. She is kind and very responsive; she has a lot of plates to spin but she keeps it all together very well and I appreciate her enthusiasm.

Little Learners of Oakdale has my highest recommendation. Thanks to the excellent pre-k program, our oldest has excelled in kindergarten. Our 3 year old continues to do very well in preschool and I’m happy to have him continue for a few more years at Little Learners due to the great curriculum he’ll continue to receive. Little learners of Oakdale is a great daycare and pre-k program and I couldn’t be happier with our choice to have both our kids attend.
