Back in 2015 My high school talked very highly of this college especially for Disable student program but it wasn't even close to what they said. There so called ds program don't even help there students with there messed up instructor. They don't even care about the disabilities students have, well especially for me that is. The multimedia department is a joke. To that teacher your are a disappointment.

Do yourself a favor, attend another college! this “college” is a mess all around. They are doing an injustice to the community. I apologize but Georgina and Diana are the worst. They give students the run around with their classes and they never respond to emails on time and when they do it’s weeks after. Because of this many students don’t graduate on time or don’t get to attend the UC or CSU they want! Maybe they should look for another field of work because I can tell that they treat this field as just another job.

Counseling office is honestly a mess. You have to call a week in advance during certain hours to set up an appointment with a counselor. They do walk-ins but they're so pointless when they end up dismissing you because they can't help you with much since its just a walk in. I wish they would improve by creating a system where you're able to meet with counselors easily. They don't seem to care for students needs or give excellent service. Some of the receptionists can be so unhelpful too. If you find them in a good mood or they seem to like you, its unbelievable how easily they're able to get things done. I really hope this school hears back on the many complains and hires new staff and counselors that care to help and will do their job.

Every single semester, it doesn’t fail!! Administration, registration and counseling are so unorganized. I’m convinced the administration at LA Mission College is purposely set up to deter students from enrolling. From searching for a class online, to calling in registration and counseling for assistance or questions. It’s an excruciating process that just leaves you drained. If you’re a new student or part-time student, just hang in there!!! Don’t let this college’s mismanagement get to you, pursue your education! No matter how many unnecessary obstacles are put in your way. LAMC you disappoint me every single semester!!!! I wish i had time to enroll at another college like Glendale Community College or College of the Canyons.

Professors are great.
Admissions, financial aid, & counseling is TERRIBLE.
They are a mess. The student workers talk amongst themselves, text, make personal phone calls while you are right there waiting for a response . They are not trained properly because they are constantly needing to speak to a supervisor for an answer. Paperwork is lost, procedures are unknown. Counseling supposedly has “online appointments “ LIE. It is such a joke. I attend college of the canyons as well and they run SO professionally, everyone knows the procedures and is courteous . It is SO frustrating when you leave your school so mad at admin you don’t even want to go to that school anymore.

I am here to complain about the lady name Gina at the admission. I told her i needed a course repetition petition form due to course recency. I went there to do this process 3 months prior to the start of spring semester because i know this process is going to take at least 1 month. So she gave me the form and i filled it out. After that she called me saying that my petition had been approved. The spring semester class had started and i could not even register for my class. I had to keep asking my professor for permission numbers and keep re-adding the class but the system keep dropping me out of my class so i went to the admission and i figured out that this Gina lady gave me the wrong form to fill out! What a hassle and what a waste of time. She wasted my whole semester. I agree their staffs need to be trained properly.

I love the campus, it's clean and the views are amazing. The construction that's constantly going on is distracting! Now for the courses, the online homework is stupidly ridiculous! Why should we pay for a service that just allows the instructors to be extremely lazy? Specifically the math department! Using online homework, quizzes, tests, and not wanting to grade physical work is just straight up lazy! We are paying for a subscription software (sometimes up to $100) so that they don't have to grade homework. Does that make sense? The software does help with the understanding of the subject. I would much rather get old fashioned homework that I don't have to worry about carrying my laptop, and a wifi connection just to do my homework while on my work break.

This school by far has one of the worst financial aid assistances. You would think that all these reviews are made up but they’re really not. Here one of my siblings attended school and has been asking and keeping track of all the requirements needed in order to receive help for low-income household students. Let alone, they’ve been keeping track of it for a while now only to come to find out that the lady in the office was “backed up on work” and claimed it was submitted. After all this time the school could’ve had some more decency than that rather than just coming up with an excuse and basically try to blame it on you as if it was your fault. In other words, I personally think you should fire the lady for having such lack of responsibility. Apart from that she approaches you with such disrespect, I understand if you’re stressed but when it comes to education and just playing with someone’s time the way they do here I think anyone whose gonna enroll here is better off going elsewhere.
