Overhyped by social media influencers for sure.
Yes, they make the tortillas here but the flour ones are way too poofy. The corn ones are Maseca flour on machine, no big deal at all.
I ordered the huevos rancheros plate. The papas rancheras tasted boiled, the ranchera sauce was bland and needed some salt.
The refried beans were also in need of some salt.
The Ranchero sauce of the eggs was mostly tomatoes.
The chips and salsas were good.
My husband ordered the chilaquiles verdes, he didn’t like them either.
The coffee has a nice presentation but it is cheap grade coffee. Gas station coffee tastes way better.
I did not try the bakery items so my review is only based on the food.

Well, to be fair I read the other persons before me review of the place. I do agree on the parking sucks and floor room is kind of crowded with the big overdone Mexican chairs, but I’m not here for aesthetics. I came for the food so that being said, I only tried the bubble on corn tacos. They were extremely fat and thick Fresh. You can taste it. Tortillas were good. Service is great young lady Maria help me she was polite and answered all my questions. First time here I will definitely be back probably at least once a week to try. Everything else recommended the Chilaquiles, but I have already had my fill for the day so I will definitely come back and they’re open every day, which is great, I recommend this place to try it out

Los Angeles: heard great things on instagram. Here’s my point of view.
Parking was just awful, lines are not straight, so you may hit another car… especially backing up.
Panhandlers around so just say NO. Entrance to get seated too chaotic, it’s a seat yourself, sounds like a daycare with the untamed children. Looking to catch a germ case, well seats are super close. See my pics.. I mean super close like the parking lot. Some of the staff seem very unhappy. I wasn’t impressed with thr food or the tortillas made from scratch, staff handling food didn’t use gloves. Coffee was awful! The only thing I like was the green chilaquiles my other half had. He requested an egg on top. Which they should consider on their menus. I left going to the bathroom as food made us sick. It was that bad. My other half says it’s always dead during the weekday. You can’t even get to the day old sweet bread. Chaotic line.

What a treasure. My friend suggested it. They will continue to be my friend LOL. I gave them a three for atmosphere because the AC seemed to be having a hard time cooling this place. Of course there is a crazy heatwave right now. Keep in mind they have the big Molina section where they're making the tortillas and it's all open to the restaurant side so that probably added to the Heat. It wasn't uncomfortable just thought I'd give you a heads up. Let's start with the tortillas my friend is into corn tortillas so I thought I'd give them a try, always a good call with barbacoa. These tortillas are made in-house. You can see them making the tortillas right there. These are incredibly thin so much so that the taco had two of them wrapped around the meat, but let me tell you I'm not a fan of corn... I am now. The Barbacoa taco wa moist and juicy hardly any drip, just a bit of fat, but if you know me you know I believe that good meat always has fat, it's where the sabor comes from. Just don't eat it LOL. Carne guisada was not my favorite but I really like the brown gravy one this was a little more on the pinkish red side. The meat was flavored well and Incredibly tender but the gravy wasn't as thick as I'm used to. Now that said, they put it on one of their in-house made flour tortillas and that made up for everything LOL. Also tasted a beef fajita taco. Just a little bit on the chewy side but that flavor was incredible. This friend was not feeling it today so they just had a bean and cheese on corn. They said they really liked it and they will be back again for more. FYI there is a bakery adjacent. A lot of classic choices and a few choices that were more modern. Overall great service Friendly Smiles. And I bought a bag of the corn tortillas for chalupas. I always like that as a quick meal just throw some beans and cheese on and throw them in the microwave. The difference with these tortillas was that they actually held up while you put the beans on them, and then they held up even after I took them out of the microwave you could actually pick it up and eat it like the way we used to eat chalupas LOL. I had one of the tortillas by itself just to see if it was my imagination but it wasn't, that flavor worked for me. Will be back hopefully with a little more time and a little more space in the stomach LOL.

The service was great because the cook actually cooked my eggs the way I wanted them. They also made the country ranchera for me because they didn't have it on the menu. Shout-out to the cook !!! Everything was delicious 😋
OH, don't forget to try the Pan de dulce "sweet bread" especially my favorite
las empanadas de piña🥟
"Pineapple turnover" 🥟
Lol I don't have a picture of the empanada 🥟 because I eat it later on that evening 😋

I've leaved in San Antonio for over 15 years now. I have found a good Mexican restaurant. (So far one meal) I'll be going again to try different meals, but i can say that their mole enchiladas were the best I've had. I also like that they have the tortilla factory that makes fresh tortillas. Have not tasted the flour tortillas yet but bought some to try.

The deals are good but if you ever want them hot you don't know when to go cuz you go early they don't have them you go around 10:00 they don't have them then you go at 11:00 sometimes they have them you go at 7:00 they don't have them you go at 8:30 they have them and then you ask him what's a good day to go what time they tell you come early still don't have them and the food is not that great but it's okay
