Been here once. Will never return. I went today to make a small purchase only to find that they don’t have any employees on registers. The only option was self check out. When I explained that I wanted a gift card, I was told “well you can’t buy those at self checkout”. I then asked where can I have them rung up since there’s nobody on the registers? Should I go to customer service? I was told “no no no you just can’t have that right now“. So I left.

The place is poorly managed and operated. We spend thousands via renovations and flipping properties with Lowes. You bring your daughter on a Saturday to do the kids craft and they turn you away because you did not pre-register online ? The place was empty and the woman running it turned us away because her classes were full ? She turned away a 5 year old merely because she had the power to do it. Will never go back to this place as a result of the behavior of this woman. Nice job Lowe’s.

Lowe’s is absolutely fabulous!!! There staff is helpful and nice. They take time to explain things to you if you don’t understand. Their products are of the highest quality and plenty of parking and handicap parking. They follow recent health guidelines and never once had a negative experience. Highly recommended A++++++++++++

Terrible attitude's from guy on floor to Customer Service Mgr. Wanted to buy a $1449 snow thrower and they only had the floor model. Refused to give even 1 percent off and acted like we were disturbing their workday by wanting to spend our money there. Went to Lock, Stock & Barrel and bought the same model (only new) for the same price. Full tank of gas, operation demonstration, and driven onto our trailer.

I’ll let you all in on a secret: no builder decides to make their full-time career at Lowe’s (or Home Depot et al.,). The people are here for a paycheck.

There’s nothing wrong with working for a paycheck but I think people expect workers to know every single thing and be able to answer every single question that they may have about their home improvement project That brought them to Lowe’s in the first place. There is a book called everything sold in hardware stores, and even with a 12 edition, it’s still doesn’t have a quarter of the things in the hardware store. So don’t expect some Lowe’s worker to know every single part in the store, or to be at Oracle for your home improvement project.

I do agree that most people are not going to be that helpful at the store. So here is a tip: act very confused and scratch your head with one hand while banging the shelf with another. Most people will ignore you but one worker will probably try and help you. That person will try their best to resolve all your questions. If you flag down somebody they are probably on their way to do something else and don’t care about your problem.

I agree with the earlier comments about the cashiers at this place. I don’t know why they are so rude.

One issue I have with Lowe’s in general is that they don’t consistently stock their products. This store and no crushed bluestone whole the Hamden Store does. Some stores stock fireplace equipment, some stores don’t. It would be easier if the stores had consistent materials so you didn’t have to guess.

Very unorganized. An order that I did online to be delivered was sent to the store. When I arrived to the store no one could locate the order. After 30 min of searching they finally located the order but held me up for another 15-20 minutes because no one could figure out how to “release” the item from the system so I could take it.
