Do NOT recommend! Their billing practices are highly unethical and seem intentionally confusing. I was offered an initial price of $775 per month for about 32 lessons. We were doing about 4, 25 min lessons per week. Then, the next month they made a change to $925/month for 24 lessons and gave me some bizarre excuse about missing lessons and “adjusting the schedule”(we notified them of our vacation ahead of time) and a “discount”(no discount was ever offered or documented). Only AFTER I brought up the discount, did they send me a bill with a discount of $67.50 showing. This discount was for a “Missed Lesson” but then they say their lessons are normally $135 per session. Confused yet? But wait, there’s more! Instead of adjusting the price for the missed lessons and such, the price was now higher per lesson! Yes, that's a higher price per month for less lessons per month without warning and without any seemingly valid reason. It doesn’t matter if it is per month or whatever, if you break down the units so you have apples to apples, the price jumps. Then, a couple weeks later we asked to switch to 2, 55 min lessons per week instead of 4, 25 min lessons per week; a difference of 10 minutes and now the price per month is $1050. Let’s not forget about the schedule change fee of $50, so that brings us to $1100. Also, there is an initiation/start up fee of $75 when you start the service and that is on a “different portal”. Why is there another portal that parents cannot see? . *** And get this . . if you don’t stay on for 5 months (now 6 months), they charge you $150 for the Multi-Sensory kit which you are told is included when you sign up.

Another strange item was that some of our billings had the same invoice # but were different bills for different amounts.

Additionally, we when we asked for a schedule change, the tutor said she had availability that we wanted. But . . . . you have to go through the billing department who won’t tell you if that time is actually available and they will hold your billing ransom in order to give you an answer as to availability of lessons. So, you can’t even make a decision as to continue or discontinue because their bottom line is the dollar first and not the best interest of the child or family.

Lastly, anytime you ask them to clarify, they explain away anything you bring up like it’s completely normal. It’s such a shame because the tutors are good people but the business is ruining it for families who truly need help.

Our daughter has always struggled with math to the point the neuropsych said she would likely need to memorize basic math as she does not yet have the ability to critically think and apply skills needed for math. We had tried several different approaches and interventions in the past. Made For Math is were we saw tangible gains that translated to her school work and life in general. I knew when the manipulative kit showed up we were in knowledgeable hands. The team really thinks of everything and works to meet the needs of each student exactly where they are at to build a strong foundation. My daughter has never complained about her tutoring sessions and instead often tells me "Ms. Rebecca taught me that!" when I ask her how she knows so much : ) The entire staff at Made For Math are dedicated, critical thinking, problem solvers that go above and beyond to work with families to help their children reach their full potential. The team takes the time to answer our many questions and even dive into the methodology of their approach. Thank you for the compassion and flexibility you have shown our family and the solid math foundation you have diligently laid brick by brick with our daughter. I was worried that we would spend a lot of time and money for little gains. ABOVE AND BEYOND! The support and reassurance paired with the deep talks regarding methods helped me feel confident. The enthusiasm and skill growth aas well as retention in our child. She is not just memorizing math facts but becoming more confident with the concepts as well.

My daughter's attitude regarding math and her overall understanding. We rarely have tears as she has built confidence in many areas to which she can rest on when she is being challenged in new areas. She feels like she CAN learn math.

A relatively late diagnosis of dyscalculia. We were hoping it would be effective. For example, would Zion focus or would the transfer of knowledge be successful. Our expectations have been exceeded thus far. This is our second year and we are extremely pleased. We started with Jack this year and we were initially concerned since Zion was doing great with her previous specialist. However, Jack jumped in and has been awesome. Zion loves working with him.The approach works. Before Made for Math we had not had very positive experiences with tutoring. There was no real improvement in Zion's grades. Zion has gone from struggling in her Math classes to maintaining an A average, both last year and this year. We are pleased.

My daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia in 3rd grade. She completed an OG program and her reading excelled, but she continued to struggle with math. We tried conventional math tutoring, but nothing really clicked until Made for Math! My daughter did her OG tutoring online during the pandemic and it worked out well for her, so we were hoping for a similarly structured program with MFM. Surpassed our expectations! My 13 yo daughter has never enjoyed math and she now looks forward to math at school and she absolutely adores Kayla and their tutoring sessions. She is so excited that she actually understands the math concepts (thanks to Kayla and her magic tutoring skills!) She is even helping others friends at school with their math.I am just so happy to see that my daughter is enjoying math and making progress in school. The entire process at MFM has been so smooth! My daughter’s confidence in her math skills has really grown since we started math tutoring! Thank-you for all you do-this is exactly the program that my daughter needed.

I first heard about MFM from my Sister-in-law, Bethany Howell. Before, MFM, Bethany was always working for her "kids" to succeed in math. She is the most dedicated teacher and the traditional school system failed her, in my opinion. She worked long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays selflessly and was not properly recognized nor supported, (once again, in my opinion.)Bethany's now has a much better work-life balance. She now works in a supportive environment with professionals that respect her professional abilities and her personal time. And she gets to do what she loves...getting kids to better understand math and feel more confident. Bethany gets excited when one of her kids has a breakthrough and it is fun to share in their success. I love that when I talk with Beth that she is not exhausted and that she always has good things to say about her job.

My son joined our highly capable program in the Fall. He was doing 3rd grade math last year and then had to jump to 6th grade math this year (they work 2 grades ahead). His dyslexia makes multi step math difficult and trying to fill those gaps was just too much. He spent the first few months feeling frustrated, getting more behind, and hating math. I was hoping it could fill the gaps of the math he missed. Very well. Not only has he filled gaps but he is completely caught up and starting to get ahead of his classmates in math learning.Having someone else be his guide and explain it in relevant terms. We don't know new math and it was really hard for us to teach it, much less make it fun. Kayla does such a good job explaining when Grant went wrong, cheering him on when he does something right, and keeping him engaged and interested.

Grant has more self confidence and more patience in learning new concepts. He doesn't stress about math homework anymore and is starting to enjoy it again.

I met Adrianne when I was learning to teach online. I have seen her business grow into a beautiful place to work that puts student learning first! MFM has great training for teachers and focuses on the research behind the best methods for teaching students. Adrianne always sends me great reading materials (books and journal articles)! Parents should know that MFM has passionate, engaging, effective teachers!
