I flew with Marana Flight School for 2 years and earned my pilots license from Private to Commercial. Cody and Keith were a great at everything from making sure the planes were maintained to scheduling students for lessons. The instructors there are accommodating, knowledgeable, and make it a great environment to learn in. Prices are fair and they truly care and make sure that all their students pass their check rides the first time.
Thank you all for your services.

I've been doing lessons here for a couple months and it's been a great experience. Aircraft availability is good, instructors are very knowledgeable and the program is very organized. My instructor Dwight is an excellent teacher and I'm looking forward to continuing with him for all my ratings. Overall highly recommend the school and Dwight for your flight training.

I’m a rusty pilot, rejoining general aviation after a five year break. My instructor Dwight was patient and kind. He helped me get back to proficiency at my own pace. I met Keith and some other instructors, and they were all friendly. Marana is a nice airport and the prices at Marana Flight School are very reasonable. I highly recommend.

I recently completed my ppl training, and now currently rent at Marana Flight School. Overall it was a wonderful experience.

Flight Instructors:
My primary instructor was Austin Johannes. I was his first ever student that he ever put through a checkride, and thanks to his excellent teaching skills, I passed the first try. He would never get angry at me, instead he would calmly correct me. For example, on one of my first power on stalls, I didn't use enough rudder, and when I went to correct with the ailerons, the left wing and nose dropped. Austin calmly recovered the aircraft and corrected my actions. He then reassured me that I could try again, now I find power on stalls very easy.

He is also very safe, one time our aircraft failed the runup, but this was one of those failures that could pass depending on the person. Austin, being safe, canceled the flight. Even though I really needed the flight, as it was a couple days before my checkride, I think Austin made the right call.

I have also flown with Mike, Glynda, and Stasia, who put me through mock checkrides as a review before my real one. They are all great.

Aircraft:
I have flown in all the C172’s the flight school has. They all appear to be in good working order and I have only had a few minor mechanical issues with them, such as the one above. They all have complete paperwork, and are clean. The aircraft are also available most of the time, and their availability never affected my flight training.

Owners:
The owners are very professional. Cody is very responsive with his emails.

Costs:
I find the costs are very reasonable, and are very good when compared to what the schools in Phoenix charge. I truly think this is the best flight school in the Tucson area.

DPE Availability:
The DPE they work with is very good, and her availability didn’t impact my training. Austin was smart and booked her a month in advance.

Overall:
Overall my experience with Marana Flight School was very good. The instructors are the perfect balance of professional and friendly, the aircraft are well maintained and available, the owners are professional, and the prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend this school to those who want to become pilots. Marana flight school has set me up for success in my aviation career.

i wandered into Marana Flight School one afternoon about 10 days ago and met the owner, Cody. it was a pleasure to sit, talk and learn about his business. i set up some time that was convienent for my schedule for a few days later.

8am, i meet Dwight.! what a rockstar. fun, extremely knowledgeable, risk tolerant ( from my mistakes), patient and smart as hell. as we went thru my flight review, he put me thru my paces, testing my knowlege along w/ pointing out new, different ways of accomplishing things that kept us safe!

we had fun, i learned a myriad of new info, remembered even more all while revisiting important areas for a safe flight. this is all w/ an old dog (me) that has not flown for about a decade.

last nite when we had finished and had been debriefed, i was absolutley mentally exhausted. today, i am still walking around with a huge grin on my face. i am sure folks are wondering what am i up to..

what an exceptional experience! availability, easy, comfort, patience and taking all the time i required.! with all of that said, i am starting to think about getting onto my next rating w/ them exclusivelyl! they are all THAT good!!

The flight was safe, and the aircraft was in good condition. The weather was favorable, with no turbulence, which made the journey more comfortable. The pilot in charge demonstrated great expertise, and her preparation was evident throughout the flight, which gave me a lot of confidence. I did notice some exposed materials and slight corrosion in certain areas—mostly aesthetic, but it’s important to address them.

However, there was a minor issue related to a misunderstanding in the business dealings. Although the error was minimal, I think it's important to consider, especially when you’re starting your career in this type of service, as even small details can have an impact on the overall experience. For me, this is a negative point to take into account, particularly regarding client relations and professional career management.

Despite this detail, the overall experience was quite positive and I would recommend it.

I came here checking out different flight schools. I went to Epic Flight first and did a tour and discovery flight with them, and it was amazing. I left Epic that morning feeling excited but looking for a school more in my price range with a less rigid schedule to accommodate work. I initially spoke to Keith over the phone on a Friday and he seemed so cool. So I headed from Epic Fight to Marana Flight thinking this is where I would attend school and feeling very positive. I left Marana feeling disappointed and turned off from the idea of flying at all. The whole conversation with this CFI (not Keith) at the Marana location was uncomfortable and awkward. He seemed like he didn't want to be there and like he didn't want me there either. He said he was leaving in 10 days to move back to Minnesota. He basically gave me every reason why I shouldn't consider a career in flying. When I brought up my one health condition (with my heart) & said I already discussed it with Keith, the CFI then brought up mental health. He said quote "if you have any mental health conditions and have even seen a psychologist or psychiatrist, then the FAA will fry your medical. Just so you know". The information surprised me, but was also not asked for. I later looked this up on the FAA website and this wasn't even true. I asked to see the planes. I had just been in very different planes over at Epic, so I was asking a lot of questions to get a general idea of the differences I was seeing. He kept explaining everything in flight jargon after already explaining before that I had no previous flight experience. The last thing I wanted to do was get in a plane with this CFI, that had done nothing to make me feel comfortable, or even welcome. So I declined a flight. The CFI worded all of his advice like he was just trying to look out for my best interests, but I didn't get that impression at all. The best was when him and the other CFI sitting nearby said, "but you should definitely at least get your Private License because flying is so fun". It seemed like a brush off to a woman who was serious about flying. At the end of almost 45 minutes of talking with this school, they let me walk out of there without so much as a business card. The sad part is, I had enough money to go all the way through this school and was planning to do so. The conversation with them was so disheartening that I'm not sure I even want to fly now. I just know I'll never fly here.

I simply cannot say enough good things about Noble Aire Aviation(Marana Flight School). I just completed my PPL there and was never unsatisfied through out the process. It seemed like I constantly had to reschedule things due to either work conflicts, or personal issues and the owner, Cody, always worked with me smoothly. My CFI was Stasia, always professional and knowledgeable, yet we never didn’t have fun. Each CFI on staff was very helpful and instrumental to my success. Whatever my future aviation path, I will continue to do business with this group. Very highly recommend!!
