Recently completed a Route to Relief program in conjunction with Fresh Start Women’s Foundation. My counselor kept in constant contact and followed up when I had questions. They were very helpful. Patricia and Alise have been great resources for resume, job fairs, as well as other opportunities.

I was previously attending CAC and decided to go to MCC to get on the path to become an RN with them since they have the 2 year program. After jumping through all the hoops and spending around $200 on all their required screenings and certifications, (I.e. fingerprint clearance, company specific CPR, background check, etc.) I tried to get ahold of them for weeks and nothing back. I finally got ahold of advising and they tell me they can’t talk to me because I’m nursing yet the nursing advisors NEVER reply or answer. The advisor appointments aren’t even available. Not to mention their automated phone system just talks in circles. I’m going back to CAC because this college is one of the worst in communication and they are horrible at helping their potential future students. I do not recommend this college to anyone. They are horrible in all aspects.

The online portals are unnecessarily complicated and not user friendly. I have two students in my household. It will not allow one student to logout so that the other student can login from the same computer. The option to signout is available, it just doesn't actually logout.

I'm really glad the Admissions office here decided to take a chance, be innovative, and hired an AI chatbot (not literally) called Tina. I emailed the office to asked some questions about subsequent courses as a NON-credit taker. I made sure the email is as detailed as possible by including bullet points, bolded, italic, and/or underlined words, and examples, so that the email can be answered in one single swift response.
The problems it seem is that the AI chatbot Tina seems to only pick up on specific keywords in your sentences and tunnel-visioned on those words and respond to only that specific word. Even when you explained that you already clarified that you are asking about a NON-credit course and not seeking a degree, as I already have one, in my last email responses, the AI bot continues to double down and respond to those keywords.
By the third email, the AI chatbot Tina ignored my email, instead of reading the email once and answering/redirecting me the first time. The problem with this AI chatbot, that other bots do not have, is that when they don't know the answers, it will simply redirect you to someone who is more knowledgeable or may have the answer you're seeking.

Attended Rio Salado. The school overall is okay for those trying to go back after not being able to finish after HS. the advisors are not helpful. I’m obtaining my associates to transfer to a state college and am now just finding out I should have applied to ASU a year prior to completing Rio Salado. I would email and call and leave messages for my advisor regularly and he wouldn’t call me back. When you call the main line they just say “look online for this info”. Remind yourself this is a business for them and not a place to help educate and serve the community. It’s all self serve so if you need help I would recommend showing up in person. Again this is a business is this not an educational institution. They just want your money they don’t care about to outcome of your hair work or success.

Recently applied for a course to take online. After a few days of back and forth with different departments I was informed that since I don’t have an official reading class or a reading placement test done I can’t take a mid level biology class and that is after disputing their rejecting my previous biology classes as sufficient for their program. I’ve never dealt with a school so backwards with their prerequisites. My transcript shows over 125 credits worth of classes but I guess I can’t read well enough to be in their classes. What a joke.

I have requested information about 15 times now and yet unable to get in contact with a counselor. You all deserve to be fired and new counselors need to come in. The ads you put on social media are false advertisement.

Love that my wife pics up classes to increase her education that we pay for monthly and the 2 days out the week that she is not working at the emergency medical location she works for the site is down and and makes it so she is incapable of doing her assignments thus effecting her grades. Get your stuff together! If this continues I will be filing a complaint to the state department of higher education because it's unfair to students and is by all means stealing money.
