Amazing place for military to hike all year round. Love the views. If the Exchange has the items, they have a wide range of outdoor gear. Recommend they sell ski equipment and it would be the best place to shop. Selections go very quickly.

Was there twice for cold weather training and once for mountaineering with C Co.1/1. Once during cold weather training at base camp Sgt.Tim Marshall pissed in the kerosene stove, flames went all the way to the top of the tent and the stench was awful!

I was on a 30 day refueling detail back in 1993. Absolutely beautiful scenery and altitude is above 9,000ft.

I came here for spring break in 2019 and I booked a room for 3. You would think they would be able to accommodate us especially after I phoned in ahead of time. NO! My party of 3 and our A Bags were required to stay in a communal room with over 50 other spring breakers. Then one of your employees gave me an attitude when I complained. We signed up for the ski and camping trip on the mountain and we had gotten our 21 and over wrist bands so we were allowed in the fighting holes that had alcohol. It was ok but tbh there were no attractive women within my immediate line of sight. The food here is nothing special although the spaghetti with meat sauce was exquisite. My ammo bearer had the beef strogonoff and he loved it! Finally we went to the main event back at basecamp and despite the fact we had our 21+ wristbands we were cut off after 1 beer which was ridiculous. Housekeeping woke me up with a red lens at 2 AM and tried to recruit me to help them clean. All in all it was an ok spring break however, next year i will be going to cabo san lucas instead.

Best exclusive 5 star resort ever! The traversing up and down the trails was spectacular! The lucky ones get to use pack mules to help with personal gear. The mules even come with their own fumigation system. The views up high are breathtaking! We even got to set up our own zip line and whip across a ravine that was deeper that the treetops. Feel free to reach out to me and ask how you can win one of these limited excursions. Cheers ?!

Was there in winter 1973, hiked out with Lima Co, 3rd\7th Marines , in 3±`feet of snow, with temperatures of 5°F by noon. With all the gear needed for a month in the snowy bush, Nov. to Dec. Coldest night was -15°F on the ridge top. What trip that was.

As a teenager, I spent my time off of school in the mid 1990's here because my dad was the Senior Medical Officer on base. I loved every minute of it, and even learned how to drive along the curvy roads (had my permit), fish the steams, and traverse/navigate the trails and snow.
Got to spend time with my dad, and I appreciate it even more now.
