The lady on the phone was so rude!!!! That is unnecessary about an applicant I just filled about telling me wrong county and that someone have called me and they haven’t called or mentioned anything about it. She wanted to be so rude about it that it took a little of her time.

If I could give them zero stars I would. I’ve been back-and-forth for over a month now and I can’t get a single person to give me a correct answer or have my caseworker call me back. I have a 10 month old child and we’ve been without food and not until my final and last visit did they tell me of the food banks in the area which do no good because I’ve been the whole month Scrambling to make ends meet. My daughter has special diet restrictions and some of the things she needs are not offered at a food bank. I’ve asked to speak to a supervisor just for them to hang up the phone and then to never call me back. I was simply trying to transfer from another state and didn’t think it would be too much of an issue. And lo and behold they canceled and denied my application without even telling me. This place is very unprofessional and never listen to what you have to say. When I ask for emergency assistance because I have a child and we don’t have any food they told me “sorry I don’t know what to tell you” if you are on disability, pregnant, or A parent with children they are supposed to allow you to have emergency funds to buy food. The staff is unacceptable.

Diana was so great. This is all new to me. I lost my mother in 19' lost my job of 20 yrs. I was left with my wonderful mentally disabled sister and 76 yr old Vietnam vet dad who has cancer. Then last year had A BAD Accident. 4 weeks in trauma unit. She helped me immensely with food assistancenow I'm just praying for a miracle for insurance of some kind because i have devoted my life o take care of my sister who is 42 but about 6 or 7 in her head. Also taking care of my father who is 76 Vietnam veteran and has bad health.
She Even took to tell me how I might be able to find a program to get insurance and really could use any help. Because i also have sometjing wrong and the medicine is very expensive. She didn't make me feel ashamed. Just wanted to help. It was very appreciated. Anyone who reads please pray for me Jeremy Dean and my sister Angie Dean and dad Larry Dean. praying for a blessing! thanks

One star is the only option or it would be zero I get being busy and short staffed but just blatantly ignoring the phone and not returning voicemails at all is just uncalled for they don’t care they are getting payed by the hour. I’m really upset I never write reviews but this needs to be addressed.

It is so hard to get a hold of anyone in the office. You can leave voice mail after voice mail and no one ever calls you back. Even after you give them all the correct information that they have asked for or needed to return your call. It has been exactly 2 weeks about 30 calls and 3 voice mails and still nothing. Not even a letter in the mail. How are you suppose to get help or know if what important information you sent in to them in the mail has even been received.

Called about concern over my 93 yr old Mother a week after I reported case, DHR asked for my number, and never heard back. Called 4 days ago and left message with caseworker and the prompt said she would return call within 48 hours, never happened. Called back and spoke with an intake worker, and she said, no, there’s no such thing as them calling u back in 48 hours( when that’s what the recording said). She claimed that DHR wasn’t gonna tell me anything about my Mom, even tho DHR asked for my phone number, and I reported an elder neglect case. They act like they don’t care at DHR. Rude people answering phone!!
