I had a great experience with Martinson school. Teachers and staff were professional and very helpful since the beginning all the way to the end of my program, even after graduation. I was impressive how attentive they are to their students, any questions or confusion were politely and professionally resolved. I felt respected and I will recommend anyone who is looking for a career change to start their education with Martinson School.

Talked to Jess the program counselor over the phone several times and he answered all of my questions very attentively.

My instructor Alexandria has 30+ years of experience in the sterile processing field and shared with us the pros and cons regarding it. I would recommend showing up to class in person at least a couple of times so that you can talk with her in person and ask any questions you have.

There are 12 modules that are covered. The Decontamination and Sterile Processing modules were the most intense for me. So make lots of time to study!

I highly recommend this program to anyone that is seriously considering becoming a sterile processing tech. Before you do, make sure to watch youtube videos and talk to people in the field.

My Final Advice

I did the online hybrid; but once I got wind of how beneficial, and informative the lectures and lessons were— so I quickly signed up for the live classes in Santa Ana, too. I sat for my exam on August 6th, and PASSED! THANK YOU, DANIEL— he is the BEST TEACHER I EVER HAD!! I would rate my experience with Daniel as the single-most 5 Star factor to begin with; but there were some things I did not like about the school, such as: the fact that in addition to waiting for an internship placement (if an opportunity ever arrives), it takes a lonnnnnng time to accumulate all the requirements to satisfy the entry into the internship, itself. Not to mention they want an extra $500 for internship placement; which many people might find challenging, when they might already be having a hard time paying the tuition already. Granted, the tuition is very low, and they have payment plans (and they are very flexible with making payments, even if you have to delay payment for a week ahead they are nice about it). Also, a word to those new grads out there or others considering sterile processing, almost EVERYBODY wants at least 1 year of experience under your belt; it will be challenging to find a job right away, so if you’re flipping burgers on Friday and think you’ll be working in the SPD on Tuesday, that’s not going to happen. It’s a really great career, and you need to “pay your dues” by maybe taking low paying jobs or volunteering at your local SP department...doing that for a year just for experience will ensure your desirability and experience for those great HIGH-PAYING jobs. Just becoming a Sterile Processing Manager after a few more years will next you $80,000+ a year!

Loved the online, at your own pace SPD course. It was informative and easy to understand. I recieved my course certificate promptly after completing the final and it was accepted by the CBSPD board to sit for the exam. I learned everything I needed to know and passed my certification exam easily on my first attempt. Very happy with my experience!

I didn't know it at the time, but I was going through a nervous breakdown while attending this class in 2016. I was just begining the early stages of having to be on medication for the 1st time in my life for the treatment of Major Depression Disorder, Sever Anxiety, Sever PTSD, Sever Insomnia & for being a Bipolar 2. I had a few panic attacks while attending this class & I found Daniel to be quite unprofessional as I found him shaking his head @ me & rolling his eyes even though I was very quiet & non disruptive to my class mates.
