There has been so many fights this year, this school's going downhill so fast.
Teachers are alright, but way the school is trying to "Fix" everything and try to discipline the kids is pathetic. The school obviously has bulling, as any other, but it's much more apparent. Kids are cutting, girls are fighting, and when I say fighting, I mean real fighting. Punching, kicking, bloody noses, etc. And some teachers are even favoring students over others. One voted 2 kids twice for a vote on 4 kids for the principle's field trip. That's sad.

I've been in this school since 6th grade, and its been hell. Like other reviews, there are bullying (and I've been a Victim since I've gotten here) and the school does nothing about it. Fighting has happened as well as no one dealing with it. I've also been from all A's in elementary to C's and D's. Even kids here made me jump over the fence during school, have mental breakdowns, heck, even CUT myself. Some of the teachers are okay, and the electives are nice, but if you want your kid to go here, have some advice. It goes downhill from here and its not fun.

Bummer deal. Tried and tried to get through to the apathetic administration and staff. Gave it half a year and meeting after meeting led to nothing. To other alternatives we will go. Sad to see. I went to MPH and it was a good school. When I went, Tad Smith was my shop teacher and a wonderful inspiration in my life…but I'm old and times change. I took the easy way out and stopped fighting but, if as a community, we do not demand better it will never change.

This is directly from the Sate of California check it out yourself caaspp.cde.ca.gov . In 2017 69% of students did not meet state standards in English and only 4% exceed the standards. In math 78% (yes 4 our of 5) did not meet standards and only 6% exceeded. You can make excuses all day long but you could teach a group of kids nothing for an entire year and get 22% of the group to meet the standards (which is all MPH is accomplishing).

As a current student.. It's alright. Like the parent before me said, yeah kids punch eahother and there's no consequence(I was one of the people who got punched...) Being my first year I only know a few teachers and I can't say they're exceptional. My Teacher,Mrs. West, is nice though and from what I've heard from older kids... the nicest teacher here. That alone scares me. And were I used to get great grades .. I now have Fs and Ds (Of course I get good test scores but that different) I get bullied and no one seems to scare,I get sick alot(I have since I was a baby) and have severe asthma and people think I faking or "Not trying hard enough". Over .. this school is just .. meh.

Will Google ever provide a Zero? We are new and outsiders and after reviewing the state review, and online reviews - it is apparent there has been quite a bit of misconduct related with this school which is entirely alarming to leave a child with a group that can't seem to promote general welfare and safety for the attendees. Can we get some positive action happening for these people please?

this is not a good school, boys tend to hit girls and do not get in trouble, my kids grades went from honor roll from the last school down to a 2.0 here and the teacher belittled my child for it. very upset parent.
