My family and I loved that place. All the staff was super friendly and the captain allowed us to keep on changing skier and equipment as many times as we wanted.
But to me, what made the hole experience even better is that they took care of my dog while we were skiing.

Absolutely amazing service from start to finish (owner - blond lady), very professional, friendly and funny. We hired the 30 min trip for 4 of us, we had an absolute blast. Josh was a great guy/guide. Would wholeheartedly recommend paying the $80 for 30 mins especially with 4 / 5 of you together. The slow boat for $18.50 per person pales in comparison in relation to quality and seeing the whole lake. Guys you made our 2 day trip to Arrowhead very very special. Many thanks.

Incredible service, professionalism & fun! Our group of 6 active teens and myself had the most wonderful experience with this family-owned outfit for several days of water-skiing and wake-boarding. Holly & Justin are sweet and helpful but the star of the show are the instructors & the dock team. Special shout-out to Mitchell, Kenneth & Riley for their super-star instruction, courteous and safe driving, and outstanding enthusiasm and energy.

Our group of recent high-school grads and their friends included intermediate water-skiers as well as absolute (and hesitant) beginners, and myself, an experienced water-skier in my youth but whose last venture out was 25 years ago. The instructors were able to handle every single person and his or her needs and energy just perfectly. My water-skiing-obsessed recent grad improved her slalom skills, learning to carve and confidently handle crossing the wake with power. My other recent grad, more of a beginner, worked on her slalom skills on waterskis, tried wakeboarding, and her favorite activity of the trip, rocked a pair of trick skis. Their younger sister got up on one ski for the first time, and was crossing the wake by the last day with a huge smile on her face.

Our three beginners had a great introduction to water-skiing. The instructors were super-patient and calm, combined with a reassuring, confident energy. All three teens got up on two skis, sometimes after a few falls, but everyone managed to have a nice long ride at least once. By the end of the three days of lessons, all three were crossing the wake, skiing confidently, and even trying a few jumps over the wake!

I’m 50 years old, and my days of water-skiing I thought were behind me, but the team encouraged me to give it a go. After a couple of false starts, I was up and away! Thanks so much for your support guys - esp Mitchell - now I feel much more confident about becoming a water-skier again.

Can’t leave a review without a quick thank-you to the entire dock team and support team. All the kids working were so friendly and helpful and sweet. Their cheers when one of us would finally get up, their helpfulness getting in and out of the boat safely, and their high energy and attention made even waiting around on the dock a fun and festive experience.

A few tips: McKenzie’s accepts cash and Zelle. Call early in your trip planning to book, especially in July and August. If on-site already, plan on heading down to the dock to reserve with cash in hand. Book the earliest time slot available, as the water is calmer and the boat traffic much less. It’s pricey but the quality and the experience and the FUN are worth every penny. Book an instructor with the boat if you can. So worth it. Thanks!!!!!!!
