From the moment we stepped foot into the School, we were welcomed with warmth and professionalism. The faculty and staff are incredibly dedicated, not only to the academic success of their students but also to their personal growth and well-being.

One of the standout aspects of Middletown Christian is their commitment to individualized attention. Class sizes are kept small, allowing teachers to truly get to know each student and tailor their instruction to meet their unique needs and learning styles. This personalized approach has made a significant difference in my children's academic progress and confidence.

The curriculum at Middletown Christian is rigorous and comprehensive, providing students with a solid foundation in core subjects while also offering a diverse range of extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities. Whether it's participating in sports, engaging in fine arts programs, or exploring STEM initiatives, there's something for every student to excel in and enjoy.

Beyond academics, Middletown Christian fosters a strong sense of community and values-based learning. Students are encouraged to live out their faith and values in their daily lives, promoting kindness, respect, and service to others.

In summary, Middletown Christian is more than just a school; it's a supportive and nurturing environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and spiritually. I am grateful every day that I have the opportunity to be a part of such an amazing educational community.

I wholeheartedly recommend Middletown Christian to any parent seeking an exceptional education for their child. It's truly a gem in our community

I would move mountains to continue my children’s education at Middletown Christian. I currently have a 2nd and 5th grader attending. They started at daycare, went to preschool and then elementary… all at MCS. The staff truly care about the children and really give the parents a lot of support. I feel like I have an entire team helping to bring my children up as balanced, intelligent and happy Christians! I love that I don’t have to deal with a lot of the issues I see parents dealing with at other schools. At the end of the day my goal as a parent is for my children to know the Word of God, know they are loved and strive to be loving like Jesus. Everything else will fall into place. Thank you MCS for all you do!

I would also like to add I am very visibly tattooed and have never felt any judgement.

We've had a very positive experience at MCS with our four children. The Christian teaching perspective has been the biggest win. We've had two separate issues with bullying in the past and the admins, teachers (and bus driver) were very responsive. We've had concerns with one kid's academics and admin, teachers, and reading intervention staff again were overwhelmingly supportive. A wide variety of sports options is an added bonus.

It is rare that I have so much to say in a review, but I do know that when God calls for you to speak truth, I will be obedient. We were in a public school and I didn’t agree with the behavior as it truly was not of Christ (although we all sin and fall short of the glory). I researched ALL schools until I was tired of researching. I stumbled across Middletown Christian and was so excited to place my daughter in the school. I spoke to Mrs Shroyer who was an absolute joy on the phone as well as in person. My daughter was not on board with the school as much as I was! We prayed daily, cried daily and decided to give Middletown Christian a chance. In order to be placed in the correct grade level and correct classes, students take IOWA testing. Unfortunately there were a couple of classes my daughter didn’t excel with during testing! Regardless of what the scores showed, I knew and still KNOW she would have be fine. However, the email from Mrs. Green about her test scores was demeaning and severely decreased my daughter’s self confidence. They placed my daughter on probation in order to attend their school. We met in person with Mr Morin who was very pleasant and Mrs Green. Through the meeting we felt high anxiety from Mrs. Green and we felt as if we were beneath her level. I didn’t feel Christlike behavior from her. We continued to pray and did not feel any other option but to try Middletown Christian, as all options at that point had been exhausted!! We were assured multiple times from Mrs. Shroyer that the group of 9th girls were beyond welcoming. Sadly this was not true. It was a hard transition. As a mother and a single mother, I want the best for my daughter and this school overall has not shown us the love Jesus wants his servants to display. My daughter attended 4 days at Middletown Christian and she begged not to go back. I have to say the final straw for me was the lack of compassion Mrs Green and Mr Mellish displayed to me when I ask for a refund. I paid a 100.00 FACTS fee. Non refundable. I paid $695.00 for school fees which include books, materials for class, an I pad etc. My daughter never received an I pad, etc. Once again, she was only at the school for 4 DAYS!! I ask Mrs Green and Mr Mellish to please be so accommodating and kind to refund at least the $695.00. Mrs Green ignored my emails. Mr Mellish sent blunt to the point nasty emails and only offered me $405.00 which he made very clear was rare to even offer!! As a single mother or as any family can relate, any amount of money to lose is a loss. Is this greed? Is this Christlike behavior? The teachers were great as far as we could tell in 4 days. The administrative staff however is below standard! My daughter attended Christian schools from age 2 to age 11. She is now 14 years old. Overall, I would not recommend this school!!

If you're looking for a school where your children will thrive academically and will make life-long friendships based on Christian values, Middletown Christian Schools is the place! This school is fantastic! My son attended Kings Local School District (an award winning school district with wonderful teachers) up until 3rd grade. And, while the education was good and the speech program helpful, the entire experience was still missing something: Bible-based, Christian education. It's so important! From the well-maintained buildings to the high-quality (yet affordable) education, Middletown Christian Schools has exceeded all of my expectations. (And, I had very high ones, as I graduated from a very good, Christian school near Columbus, Ohio). The education MCS offers is diverse and applicable to every day life. The teachers are well-educated and "go the extra mile" for their students - especially the special-ed department that has helped transition my son's IEP into a successful service plan, where he's thriving! Likewise, he has made the honor roll, cultivated solid friendships, enjoyed playing sports, and his new favorite subject is BIBLE! The MCS Leadership is experienced and caring, and the support staff strives to do everything in a Christ-honoring way.

Worst Christian school ever. Full of bullies and staff that could care less about the bulling. When you child is physically touched, threatened and cursed and the office does nothing to the kid there are some serious staffing issues. Two of my kids in two separate grades experienced bulling. My younger one was being bullied on the play ground and told the teacher and her response was just stay away from them.
Finance office is unorganized and charges you for items you've already paid for.
High school kids have their clicks.
I realize that in school you don't get through most of the books but my younger daughter had a couple work books that only had a few pages completed and my older child said they only opened their English book one time the whole year. Just seems mediocre teaching for the price you pay. .
Overall the school seems to be a more of a paid public school that teaches Bible. Not happy at all and would not recommend this school

I am a public school teacher and chose to send my children to Middletown Christian 3 years ago. There are so many reasons why we chose this school. One is that all subject areas are centered on Biblical views. My son was saved at Middletown Christian in the first week he attended there. My daughter comes home almost every day talking about what they learned in Bible class. Another reason we chose this school is because it is small enough to know most of the families but big enough to have an array of sports and activities for the students. The class sizes are, also, perfect (unlike the 25-30 students per class in public school.). All three years my children have had under 18 students in their class. And finally, the teachers and staff seem to genuinely care about the students. They go above and beyond to communicate with families. They do this by sending out weekly newsletters, emails, using REMIND (for texting) and all calls when reminding families of upcoming events or weather. I would recommend MCS to any family because of our good experience thus far. Is MCS perfect? No. But, when dealing with imperfect people and children no organization can be.
