I'm writing this review as a guest of this facility not an actual customer. I've had the opportunity to visit Mimi's Riding school on 3 different occasions. First and foremost the area is beautiful and the stable is one of the nicest I've seen. Being originally from Texas I've seen quite a few. I was able to see riding lessons every single visit so with that being said. I've witness Mimi herself single certain kids out and cater to her favorite ones, and the past 3 times I've been it's been the same group of kids. Her voice can be loud at times and I think it frightens some of the younger kids. I believe she needs to work on talking more calmly to the younger ones. I recently found out the cost of services, and from what she charges and the 5-10 minutes of time spent on ever child doesn't make any sense to me to spend that kind of money especially when the kids waiting their turn are riding around alone unsupervised. Would i signed up my kid for lessons here? Right now, No. Until changes are made then I would seek my horse riding needs elsewhere.

This summer was my great nieces third horse camp at Mimi Peters Riding School. She absolutely loves camp where she has made new friends and learned so much. Her mom told me that she talks about coming back to camp all year. Just a wonderful experience and Mimi is the best!

Haven't actually started lessons for my daughter, but we got to go out and watch a little while she even got the opportunity to ride for a moment while being led. But aside from that, amazing place! Just love this place! Beautiful barn ,beautiful and so sweet horses! Very well kept, wonderful property. All the arenas are great! No indoor arenas that im aware of that is but no need for it! Great group of kids I met! Very sweet girls and totally love the owner/instructor! I love the activities she does as well as Very well in tune to the needs little people need to have as they grow, prayer at lunch! I loved the most how she handles the manners and listening factor of the group, as my baby girl is such a wonderful blessing but doesn't care for mommy inforcing her behavior so much anymore, so was a wonderful great thing to see her inforcing those same kind of traits I hope to instil in my children. Just all around pleased! I hope to continue having my daughter participate and be apart of the silver lining ranch! As well as myself and my son! Kudos to her and her help and family! Amazing, cozy, beautiful place and job you all have done and continue to do! Absolutely ? would highly recommend to anyone. Also got to see the beginning of a birthday party and love her set up! Great place to hold a party too!

Super nice young woman who was finishing up her work and took time to familiarize us with the place a bit. Showed us a few horses and was very welcoming and kind and encouraging. Well-kept grounds and great view and not too terribly far away. Owner was out, so no info. on that. Picturesque. Notice signs for summer camps, but would need to look for reviews by people who know horses, their care and horse facilities and such, like an organization. We had a great impromptu first experience.

Rode here when I was a child and was bullied by the other students. My leased horse was rarely available and I had to ride a different horse, even though I was paying money to ride a specific horse. Mimi Peters herself is not focused on your progress or how happy you are with the atmosphere of the facilities. Ms. Peters nearly talked my parents into buying a dud horse for me. Mimi is focused on money, not your riding experience. Great for parties, but a terrible place to learn true horsemanship.

My little girl, Cora, not only learned and improved riding a horse during the week of camp, but she also genuinely had a great time. She's already asked me to sign her up again next year. Horse camp at Silver Lining Farm is a hit. I really recommend it.

I have ridden at SLF for around six years now and love the facility and everyone who works there. I have leased one mare whom Mrs. Mimi helped me train and am now leasing a gelding named Dutch. Mrs. Mimi took me to many schooling shows in the area and the whole staff is always willing to help.
