Grateful for the team at MBB for my pregnancy and birth last year. The Lamaze classes were very helpful and informative. The ladies are so knowledgeable and come with so much experience that you feel so comfortable and confident having them on your birth team. Brooke was my doula during labor and delivery and just made a world of a difference in my experience! I got the natural delivery I had envisioned and she definitely made sure that my labor progressed as it should have and luckily only had to push for a few minutes! I also utilized Corinne for her lactation services and she was very helpful in those early days when I had no idea what I was doing! So so blessed and grateful! Will definitely use them for my next birth as well 😀

If you are a pregnant woman, YOU NEED A DOULA. Don't give a second thought to the cost, IT IS WORTH IT. Having support during my 4th pregnancy and birth was a huge load off of my mind. Every pregnancy and birth is different, and you never feel like an "expert". Continuous physical and emotional support during birth is essential every time, no matter how many times you have gone through it. My son's birth was quick and intense, and I was so thankful to have Brooke there with my husband, oldest daughter, and I. Her presence was calming amidst the blur of one of the most intense experiences of my life. She was steady, kind, and just the right amount of support we needed. She took beautiful pictures that we will treasure always. The services I received postpartum were almost more valuable though! At my postnatal check-in, Brooke and Corinne helped me trouble shoot different feeding issues my baby was having and discovered that my son had a very severe lip and tongue tie that was preventing him from breastfeeding. Having these women listen to me and actually hear my concerns and take the time to find a solution was a breath of fresh air and helped my stress levels tremendously. Don't let anyone shrug you off or give you less than satisfying answers, find people who will listen to your concerns and really try to help you. Thank you Modesto Birth and Beyond for providing these ESSENTIAL services that every woman needs. Seriously, GET A DOULA!

I am so grateful for MBB. We used them for my first son. My goal was to have an unmedicated birth with no interventions. They helped me accomplish this. I love how supportive they are, even after labor to help answer ALL of my questions. They helped me transition into motherhood and avoid me having to google to find answers. I highly suggest using a doula for labor, because they help advocate for your birth plan (whatever that may look like!) They also helped educate us about the stages of labor and breastfeeding. Education is so important and they provide it all! I can honestly go on and on about why you should use them. We are going to use them for our second birth as well ?

I cannot say more good things about MBB. My husband and I took their classes and started working them while pregnant with our twins - and then used their services for a “night doula” once I gave birth. As a new mom, I was anxious to have anyone help - and the doulas / ladies at MBB made me feel so comfortable and at ease. I trust them immensely and continue to keep in touch with them as my twins are now 6 months. I could not recommend them more. I am a first time mom to be and I was very unsure of what to expect, especially through labor and delivery. I asked my midwife at Kaiser who suggested taking a class and pointed me in the direction of Modesto Birth & Beyond. After chatting with Sheila a few times and learning about all their services, my husband and I decided to do a private childbirth class. I was so thankful for the flexibility and the option to do our class on a Sunday and with fewer people. My husband works late into the evening so the weekday classes were going to be very hard for us to attend. Not only was the flexibility a huge plus, but the classes were SO informative. The classes consisted of evidence-based research/suggestions, demonstrations, and videos. No matter what our preferences may be the support and knowledge that came with the classes is priceless. I have never felt more empowered and capable of birth! Thanks to this class I have had so many great conversations with my husband and my support team that has me feeling ready for my boy to make his appearance! Sheila and her team are not only there for the classes but they kindly follow up as well and want to be a resource even after the classes. Highly, highly recommend them. I will be intentional to book their doula services for my next pregnancy as well! Book them!!

I’m so happy I hired Modesto Birth and Beyond as I prepared for the birth of my first baby. Birth was something that always scared me, but the education I received with them made me more confident about the process. Sheila, Brooke, and Corinne were very supportive all throughout the process. I texted them when my water broke and they checked in on me to see how things were progressing. Grace, my doula, met me at the hospital, and she also provided great support to help me cope physically, mentally, and emotionally. I’m 3 months postpartum, and I still keep in touch with them to update them and ask questions. I’m grateful for this amazing team and will for sure hire them again in the future. ❤️

As a FTM, I can say that MBB doulas really helped my husband and I. We’re in California and do not have family close by. Their in-person Lamaze classes were extremely informative and helped guide us through unknown waters. I would highly recommend them (even if you’re being induced/going in for a planned c-section) as they provide overnight services as well. They made me feel so comfortable and truly gave me peace of mind. They have knowledge and are willing to help on a wide range of pregnancy/baby related questions. 5 stars all the way!
