During a particularly difficult period of homeschooling our 7 year old son, I began desperately seeking help. I came across Mountain Learning Center online and after speaking with Cara I instantly knew she would be a great fit for our son. That was about 9 months ago, and since then he has made tremendous progress!

Cara focuses on the whole person, not just the academic areas. She recognized the need to build our son’s confidence and utilize his strengths. I cannot imagine a person more capable of helping our son, which in turn has been life changing for our family!

Our son went from being extremely frustrated with the learning process, to someone with persistence and motivation to learn. He absolutely loves his tutoring sessions with Cara and looks forward to them each week! We are so grateful to Cara and all she has done for our entire family.

I don't have the words to fully express how incredible Cara is and what an amazing difference she made for our son! Not only is she a knowledgeable Montessorian, but she is also a compassionate, patient, empathetic teacher. She gave our son his confidence and love of learning back. He is a twice exceptional kiddo and nothing fazed Cara. He had been penalized and isolated in his previous school all for being gifted, he had lost his spark and curiosity - Cara brought all of that back! He was so excited to see her everyday and always wanted to spend more time with her and learning! I cannot emphasize enough, if you are looking for compassionate, caring tutoring or homeschool support - Cara and Mountain Learning Center are all you need!

We love Mountain Learning Center! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Cara. She is a highly-trained and very effective Montessori teacher, but she is so much more than that. She is caring, kind, and fun with the kids- building a great relationship with them so they love their learning sessions. My kids see her not only as a teacher, but also as a mentor and friend. We highly recommend Cara for anyone needing learning assistance, from homeschool teaching to after-school tutoring!

Cara and the Mountain Learning Center have Exceeded every wish and expectation we had, for our son. The tutoring our son receives at MLC has Greatly Improved his Confidence, reading and writing abilities, self advocating, executive functioning and more! Cara partners with our family and our son to build a trusted environment that regularly results in improved learning abilities and school perfomance. She is truly an Educator and Montessorian who cares about the Entire student! She is a wealth of trusted knowledge and ideas that continue to help our son (and us) in his education journey. Cara is understanding, patient and kind. She really "gets" everything involved in helping children (and parents) through an education journey and all that is involved in helping them be their best!

I would give Mountain Learning Center 10 stars if I could. We have seen tremendous growth in 8 short months with our struggling reader. He looks forward going to see Cara each week and now wants to read instead of fighting to read. Cara is fabulous! My son asks to go to see her, he genuinely enjoys learning with her. He has improved dramatically over the last year with her and his teachers have commented on it. We would recommend Cara to anyone!
