My daughter went to MT Learning Center during her senior year of high school for AP Calculus AB. She initially was struggling a lot in math at school, so I wanted to quickly find a tutor for her. Luckily, someone referred me to MT Learning Center, and after talking to Don for the first time, I could tell he cares a lot about his students. This gave me a peace of mind and confidence in his class. Don's class helped my daughter quickly catch up and also prepared her well for the AP exam. I saw how big of an improvement it made in both her grade and confidence in math. My daughter often tells me how enjoyable the class is and how the learning environment is comfortable. I would highly recommend Don and MT Learning Center for those looking for tutoring lessons. They are very sincere in helping students improve! Thank you Don!

I went to MT Learning for their college counseling during the 2023-24 application cycle. Max He, the consultant I worked with, was very clear and informative and helped a lot with the entire application process, particularly with the essays. He taught me a lot about the process of writing a good essay, from brainstorming ideas and outlining to final drafts, helping me to not only craft compelling essays that reflected my strengths and personality but also to gain confidence in expressing myself through writing. Outside of sessions, he was very responsive whenever I contacted him via email with questions, and he was always willing to help out even outside of our weekly meetings. Moreover, despite having come to MT Learning relatively late in the college application process, I was able to stay on top of deadlines thanks to Max’s help in planning and managing my time, and it was always clear that he truly cared about his students. Ultimately, I got into my dream school (Stanford) thanks in large to Max’s guidance. I feel incredibly lucky and grateful to have gotten the opportunity to work with Max as I never before could’ve imagined that I could get into my dream school, and I highly, highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a college counselor!

With the help of college consultant Max He from MT Learning Center, my college application process went a lot more successful than I had anticipated. Max's expertise in the English language improved my essays to flow a lot smoother and cohesively all while still maintaining my own narratives. He was also an amazing person to talk to, which allowed me to open up and feel more comfortable in sharing my personal experiences for the essays. When emailed, his responses were always prompt, showing his dedication to his students. At the end of it all, I am committed to UC Berkeley as a Chemical Biology major, which would have not been possible without Max's guidance. To all the future college applicants out there, the process is most definitely stressful and daunting, but with Max, your dream can be achieved!

I took MT Learning Center's summer SAT prep class before my junior year in high school as well as their geometry class the summer between 8th grade and 9th grade. The practice and information provided by these classes assisted me in familiarizing myself with complex concepts as well as allowed me to develop a sense of understanding regarding how best to study in order to perform well academically. Don easily breaks down difficult math theorems and problems while explaining it in a way that is easily understandable by his students. His class is definitely challenging, but they prepare you very well for the future. His humor also makes the class much more enjoyable and interactive. Taking his geometry class definitely prepared me very well as I transitioned from junior high math to high school level math. Walking into 9th grade with a pre-existing knowledge helped me to succeed throughout the school year. Cin-Yee's English lessons also immensely helped me prepare for the reading and grammar aspects of the SAT, both components which I struggled with a lot. Her tips and techniques that she taught were useful, especially during the actual exam. Outside of the SAT, her teaching allows you to develop critical thinking skills and apply it to fields outside of just academics. Overall, MT Learning Center is a great place to hone your academic capabilities and pave a path towards success.

I have been taking lessons at MT Learning with Don and the other teachers from junior year through senior year, and they have been an enormous help throughout all my classes. The teachers do an excellent job of explaining every subject, and I feel that I have come out of each class with a much clearer understanding of the material. I highly recommend taking lessons here!

I took MT Learning Center's summer SAT prep class and it definitely helped me in familiarizing and preparing myself with the SAT. Don, the math teacher, really cares about each student and tries to ensure that everyone understands the concepts. The way he explains the solutions is very easy to understand, and his jokes always make the class more enjoyable. The math problems that he gives for homework are usually more challenging than the math problems on the actual SAT, so by taking this class I was definitely prepared for the real test. The English teacher, Cin-Yee, also helped me immensely improve my SAT reading and writing score. She provided us with many useful strategies and advice for doing well on the reading and writing portions, and she will thoroughly explain any problem that students are struggling with. MT also offers weekly mock SAT tests for free, which I highly recommend attending if you want to simulate the testing environment and get familiar with the test format. Overall, I would definitely recommend MT's SAT class to students who want to significantly improve their test scores and get guidance from qualified and friendly teachers.

I’m currently a junior in highschool and have been going to MT Learning center since my freshman year. MT has really helped me so much over the years. I’ve taken multiple math courses and the SAT course at MT and I was very satisfied with both especially the SAT class since my score improved significantly after I took the courses. In school especially in my math classes my confidence level for this subject boosted after knowing the materials ahead of time that Don, the main math teacher teaches us. Since MT teaches each lesson in a more advanced level than what the school teaches us that once you get a hang of it, the school work will seem way easier improving your performance in school.

What’s special about MT is that the teachers there genuinely care about their students and want to see them succeed. I started going to here because a group of upperclassmen recommended to me and I am really happy with my choice to attend MT Learning Center. Now it’s my turn to recommend to you all. Yes I do think this tutoring center is expensive and I’m not going to lie but IT IS 100% WORTH IT. Improving in a subject you struggle in is the most satisfying thing I’ve ever felt in my life and having teachers that genuinely care about their students succeeding is the most grateful thing you will ever come across.

I've been going to MT Learning Center for around three years and, although I have only been taught by Don and Jeff (both math teachers), I can honestly say that this learning center is very effective. The teachers here are very easygoing, managing to maintain a very fun environment, and genuinely want to help their students improve. Taking math classes here has helped me improve so much and I'm never afraid to ask for help from anyone here. This learning center can help you in different subjects ranging from math to SAT practice. I highly recommend! :))
