My son has been tutoring with Steven for a little over a year. He has developed a love for reading that wasn't there previous to starting our relationship with Nashville Dyslexia Center. We are pleased with the progresss!

Our son has shown tremendous growth while working through the program. He doesn’t like having to do it (because he really has needed help with reading with dyslexia), but he likes Steven a lot, and that helps! 🙂

Wonderful company!! They have helped my son so much with reading, self confidence, and overall learning. They really take a team approach and do what is best for each child. Erin and her team are professionals with lots of knowledge about dyslexia and how to help. Best decision we could have made for our son!

Nashville Dyslexia Center has been a lifesaver! My daughter was struggling in school and once we got the diagnosis of dyslexia, I was feeling so overwhelmed. Finding NDC was the help my daughter needed. The programs they use to teach reading to children with dyslexia are fantastic. Our tutor was prompt, patient and incredibly encouraging. Doing tutoring online was so helpful to our family of six. I cannot say enough positive things about NDC. My daughter went from one of the lowest reading scores in her class to just testing as the top in reading! I’m so proud of her and grateful to Erin Paske and her fabulous tutors!

We were using the DISTAR method to teach one of our children to read. But about halfway through the curriculum, we hit a wall. I'm so thankful I reached out to NDC for help. Erin Paske was able to do some assessments and took on our child as a student using a different reading program. After a year, our child is voluntarily reading on their own and steadily improving their reading skills.

Erin is our tutor and she is a wonderful educator. She is a student of her craft. She has a deep understanding of the technicalities of reading and where students struggling with reading can get tripped up or stuck. She is professional, communicative and warm. I'm so thankful we connected with her when we did because I believe she has saved our child from falling behind early in school. And she is giving them an excellent foundation for reading, which we believe is one of life's most important skills.

I can't recommend Nashville Dyslexia Center enough to any parent or teacher with a child that is struggling to read. I believe there's no longer any reason why a child struggling with dyslexia or tendencies of dyslexia shouldn't be able to still learn to read well. It's a matter of understanding what's going on in the brain and adapting to it with different approaches. Nashville Dyslexia Center has proven to me that they have an expertise at those approaches.

We arrived at Nashville Dyslexia Center when our daughter had hit the bottom. Newly diagnosed, failing at online school and lacking the confidence to accept her new educational path. Her journey in the last 2 years has been remarkable. She is confident, speaking out in her school district and advocating for herself and others with SLD. She is enrolled in an honors creative writing program, with the tools she needs to write, finally, at the speed of her thoughts. And most miraculous of her improvements is her deep abs growing understanding of the English language. Her grades in all her classes have improved as she is able to follow her middle school class with greater ease and understanding. We owe this improvement to the intensive, specific and loving hand of our NDC teacher. This is easily the most effective educational experience we have given our daughter, we are so grateful every day for the incredible gifts she has received studying the Barton method with Nashville Dyslexia Center!

I can’t adequately express how much the Nashville Dyslexia Center and specifically Ms. Mary Jane has changed my sons life! Prior to starting his tutoring he was reading at a mid first grade level in late third grade. We were constantly defeated with his lack of progress all the while knowing how insanely smart he was. He hated school and often said he felt “dumb”. I didn’t think we had all the answers as to what what’s going on and finally paid for a Dyslexia assessment and got the answer we needed to help him. The growth in only 1 year of consistent tutoring has been nothing short of AMAZING! He works hard in every session and Ms. Mary Jane knows exactly how to push and motivate him to get the best out of him. She is firm yet gentle and kind allowing him to go at his own pace but also challenging him! She’s been an absolute blessing to work with! If your hesitant about online tutoring DONT BE! I assure you the Nashville Dyslexia Center is the BEST and you will be very thankful for taking the leap and starting your child on their journey of learning!!
