These women saved my life. Me and my three children where in the program and stayed in residential in 2007- 2009. The women of NCADD and the case managers and peer support at The Weldon House were a group of women that taught me so much. I've struggled with a dual-dignosis for many years and everyone from this organization has taken part in showing me that living life on life's terms is possible. I'm a survivor -not a victim and I know that because of NCADD.
These women are so loving and care about their clients so much, it's a 12 mth residential program and I was there 18 mths so that I could completed something I was working on with my therapist. That's just one out of many examples of the love and care and nurturing they showed to my family.
I LOVE ALL OF YOU ? FOREVER AND I WILL NEVER FORGET THE ANY OF YOU

Camp Weldon House led by Denise, is a very productive and great outdoor experience for moms and their kids. I hear all kinds of precious stories from the moms who attend. They tell me how much the mountain air and trees help them find a peace
and tranquility that gives them a jump start and a breath of fresh air to their lives.
They leave our camp so clean that it is basically ready for the next camp! We LOVE Weldon House!!

HERE'S AN OUTSIDE VIEW LOOKING IN. Someone that is and was close to me went back to this residentisl part of the N.C.A.D.D Program due to some personal mistakes that person had made on her own. Upon being approved to come back and do the program all over again. They staffed some issues that had been brought to the staffs attention such as there new client had began to rekindle her relationship with her kids in a very positive way, and was actually making great strides in being there for her kids and actually being in there life. So there were agreements made that they were gonna allow that mother son and mother daughter relationship to continue to build, not only for her best interest but obviously in the BEST Interest of the kids and I'd also have to say prior to there new client going back into there residential program we were doing one on one counseling ( which immediately stopped without even a phone call to notify me that there will be no more working in co-parenting). So that her and I could work on co-parenting together. Which again is always in the best interest of the children. But I'd have to say the three times she's allowed to call to talk to the kids is the total incorrect time to call. To talk to the kids ( NCADD ever heard of school ). when there in school how do you figure that that's a good time for your client to talk to her kids? I also am noticing that there are no rules that can't be changed in a blink of an eye. It's like this if it's gonna benefit NCADD or the "Legacy House" they will bend it or break it or go totally against it. With no care in the world who it may hurt. This program I feel is very one sided it's got a great thought and wish behind it but they do what they say nor followed through they follow through horribly. They don't set there clients up for any future sucess nor long term goal achievements. Just what's gonna bring in the money so the bills get paid, the owner or owners pockets grow fatter. Of to also gain more sponsorship or contributers. So if you are thinking about joining this NCADD Program for addiction or substance abuse help & have a family you LOVE don't they don't care about your family they will lie to your face and tell you they will help you and your family. ITS A HUGE LIE!!! They will manipulate you into doing meeting (Which is great 12 step is awesome). But you will also be there landscaper there house cleaner, maybe even there air conditioning technician. They will even put you in a sister company or organization that there affiliated with and you will have an 8-5 w/o no minimum wage or a W-2. I guarantee that NCADD is most likely cashing your paycheck. So from an outsider looking in this program wants you to think they want to help you but, they want you to help them make more money so NCADD. I as that outsider feel you are the GRINCH of addiction recovery and family separation & I feel this will help people in the future to make the correct decision if they wanna be the NCADD SLAVE!! YOU or IN A REAL RECOVERY PROGRAM NOT WORTH THE ONE STAR I HAD TO GIVE !!!

I have been calling and leaving voice-mails for over a week now for a certain counselor . You would think there communication is great but I have not gotten no response at all and its quite unprofessional to check your messages and have plenty from one person you would think to get back to them but nothing . Its been crickets . My sister and nephew have been in this program and i have been waiting for her to call me back for three months now . I'm worried and I can't even get a call back . I've very disappointed in your communication skills .
