I had the absolute pleasure of working with Kenyia during my admissions process, and I cannot say enough good things about her. She was incredibly helpful, personable, and knowledgeable, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free. Kenyia truly knows her job and goes above and beyond to assist prospective students. I have been receiving massages at “THE NOW” along Ventura Blvd. After a couple months, I finally asked my Massage Therapist where he was trained and he told me, NHI on the corner of Vineland and Ventura. I went there to check it out and attended their open house. I felt at home. I could feel the closeness and good camaraderie among the students. Now, I am one of their students. Although I already have a career in nursing, I felt as though having massage therapy skills, which I love, would be something I look forward to everyday. I love receiving massages. My classmates can attest to that as I always ask for more even when the session is over.

The instructors and staff at NHI are awesome. They are all very welcoming and approachable. I am very appreciative of their dedication. They are very supportive toward the success of the students. They constantly check on us and give us updates about our current curricular status and are very accommodating. For example, if any of us find ourselves in financial difficulties, and can't afford to buy food, NHI has a shelf full of dry goods for any of us to eat.

Additionally, our school is well known at sporting events. Recently, my instructor organized a volunteer massage for the runners at the LA Marathon. I experienced it firsthand, it was fantastic to be able to help the athletes, and they were very appreciative. I cannot wait to have a private practice of my own and be my own boss!

I am in love with this school! I started my Core program this January, and in just 2 months I can tell that I’m a completely different person. First of all, the curriculum is great, and being very methodical and analytical person who prefers to take in the information from A to B to C, I really appreciate the way the material is presented, structured and explained in both practical and theory classes. Teachers and staff are extremely nice and helpful, and what I love is that they will take their time and make sure you understand everything while being very understanding with you. Hands on experience is like no other! Love clinics, where I get to massage customers and get feedback that I need while in school. On top of that, I already started my externship with spa, which is amazing, considering that 2 months ago I had no experience in massage at all. This school really makes you go into the real world and get as much hands on and networking experience as possible. The energy of school is so welcoming, I wish I could live here. I have met so many great people! Can’t imagine what it will be like by September, when I’m supposed to graduate, looking forward to this moment while I enjoy every single day spent here. Highly recommend to anyone who is considering massage therapy as their profession.

In the span of a month, I discovered NHI as a massage school, attended orientation, enrolled, got in, and since March of this year I have loved coming to this school everyday! Any doubt I had about attending here quickly vanished after getting to know the teachers/mentors, attending the first few classes, and meeting my classmates! I am grateful for the awesome teachers who are all especially useful and resourceful and really care for their students and want you to succeed; they give you all the resources you will need to succeed and find a career in massage. This has already been one of the best school experiences of my life and I highly recommend this school to anyone out there who is looking for or is interested in a career in massage therapy!

The student culture is one that is kind and welcoming, the teachers are so well equipped to support a wide variety of learners and the material is vast and nuanced.

Thorough, quality education at a quality price.
NHI proved themselves to be a cut above the rest from the very beginning when I first inquired about the program until today. I am a few weeks from graduating from the core program and I can honestly say that the education I have received from this institution has been excellent. The instructors are knowledgeable and really want to see you succeed and be just as knowledgeable in your craft. They have also been one of the best mentors and friends that anyone could ask for. I can’t say anything less about my experience with NHI. It will be days that I will treasure the most.

It was a last minute decision for me to come to this school, and I’m so happy I did! They reached out to me right away when I submitted my inquiry.

The instructors are very thorough with their teaching, and make sure to cater to your learning style. They are very engaging, and really train you to jump right into the field. There is a ton of hands on experience which I love. A lot of the instructors are actually prior students, which is a very good sign!

I’m happy I picked this place over the other options in Los Angeles. 😊
