Went to pick up my blues from the uniform department today (Friday). I went the day before but they were closed due to weather. Susan at the front of the uniform department gave me unnecessary attitude and raised her voice because I ask to see if they were dropped off before hand. I was asking a question and didn’t appreciate the attitude so early for no reason. Every other staff member is super friendly and typically I like shopping at the nex.

I go with my mother going to the commissary. I help her shop. Carry her stuff. My father, who has since passed was retired coast guard after 26 years. My stepfather is retired navy after just about the same time. So I get to spend some quality time w mom shopping.

I only visit this exchange once every 4-6 weeks. I will do a little shopping or grab quick snacks. While I'm there I chat with the wonderful ladies up front. The past 2 times now this has happened I have been told by management (Lisa Burns and Gabe Gonatice) that I am not allowed to chat with the cashiers while they're on the clock and only once they are on break. I never hold up the line and step to the side if other customers come up. If it gets really busy I continue my shopping or I leave for the day. I think it is very poor customer service to tell a paying customer that they cannot chat with the employees. I hear of how these employees are treated and it makes me sad that there is such negativity in that store. I could go on and on, but it makes me very upset to be told I need to leave when I'm trying to make connections and hopefully brighten these ladies day. But to end on a positive note Donna, Cat, Justina, and Mary are very pleasant and I know I will have a laugh or two with them around!

Terrible customer service, long wait, rude people in the uniform/service departments, and bad return policy. Only option though. Miss my last base’s NEX.
