New Haven works went above and beyond my expectations. I work with my job coach Sophia who is a true passionate professional at what she does. Sophia has helped me with my resume, cover letter, and landing a position. She always stays in contact with me and is always there if I have questions or concerns. She had proven and demonstrated to me that they truly care about helping others and making a better difference.

My friend and I went there when we first moved to New Haven and the office had just opened. I remember several prospective applicants getting upset when told they couldn't help them because they didn't live in New Haven and were not told in advance. My counselor did not stay in communication with me and the whole process took several months to fit me in a job which I had very little experience in. My friend's counselor, Ashley, was very rude and unprofessional.

Very helpful and diligent staff, would suggest this organization to anyone, they are professional and thorough. You may want to avoid staff member Honella Davis however, she is an alcoholic who will NOT get the job done, seek another if you find yourself assigned to her. Thank me later.

This place infuriates me. My husband’s job coach has ignored multiple emails and calls. The only contact she has had with him is a two-minute call four months ago—hasn’t followed up since. She has added to job search frustration. I don’t understand why she can’t return a call or email every once in a while as a courtesy. I have no confidence in this organization.

I'm so tired of organizations claiming to help the less fortunate and they themselves do the same thing in ensuring certain members of the community are oppressed and disenfranchised. Let me add this as well. Not everyone who works for these organizations are like this. I have met many who generally care for the people they are serving
