It used to be really great but not anymore. My son went there since sixth grade and really excelled... Unfortunately things have gone downhill there so much that we had to pull him out for mental health reasons. It is my understanding a large portion of the student body is having similar struggles. Some of the high school teachers are awful and outright abusive. Beware: school also likes to unlawfully meddle in custody issues. Stay far away these days. It's such a shame to watch a wonderful school completely fall apart like this.

My son has grown so much as a person and as a student since switching to Archway North Phoenix 3 years ago. They handled the pandemic and all the chaos that came with it with so much grace. The staff and teachers are amazing. All 3 years my son has attended this school, he has not disliked a single teacher, which is saying a lot! I wish Great Hearts was around when I was a kid. They learn about things that I never even learned in high school? many people are saying the homework load for Archway is massive, but that’s simply not true, at least in our experience. It’s reasonable and my son has plenty of free time after school.

I cannot praise this school or the teachers enough. They actually teach their students how to learn and they also teach logic. The class size is small so the individualized attention to each student helps the student to learn more on the various topics. If you wish for a top notch education for your child, I highly recommend that you consider one of the Great Heart Academies!

It used to be GREAT!!! When they started this school the Headmaster Topper was Absolutely All About the rigorous education and All about the students getting the best experience they could! The students at age 17 could stand toe to toe with the business community and Toast Masters also! Once the new headmaster came and all about being a yes man to the Corporate Heads! They lost that edge and leadership that attracted the students and parents to that school. Lack of leadership and inept at his job, they lost some of the very best teachers and parents pulled their kids from that situation, one after another! Calling the police on the day of promotion was beyond poor taste and a spineless move as the teachers only wanted to see their students promotion! The students spoke up right in the middle of all that and the disgust was not only heard, it was seen in the faces! No matter who addressed this, Corporate has done nothing! They like their yes man! But they never could control the true Leader Mr. Topper! What a great loss to the kids, Teachers and the parents! Pay attention Great Hearts and you might want a Heart Transplant before a name change is due! WAKE UP for the kids sake!
