My son just graduated from this school in Oroville, CA and I am so impressed with all the instructors and staff that make this program a success. My son's safety was my first concern and this school has safety as #1 priority. Great school!!!!

Northwest lineman college is a blemish to the trade. Their objective has always been profit over safety and today it finally got someone killed. They do not value the safety of students Nor the future of the trade. This for profit school deserves to be shut down. Do not spend your money here. Do not risk your life by attending this school. Go to Volta. They are a safe, respectable school.

I highly recommend NLC!!! I recently graduated back in November from the Oroville campus. Have to say it was the best experience I have ever had. Everyone from the instructors to the people in the office want to help you succeed. Pay attention in zoom and attended any after hour classes that people put on so you can always learn more and do well on your test. It helps a ton and your able to be confident when it comes to knowing your stuff. Work on your interview skills as well. The field is a blast just stay humble and listen to the instructors they have a lot to teach. Lastly when you have down time work on getting your class A driver license you will need it to get a job. Good luck and wish you all the best.

Best 15 weeks the instructors will tell you the first week it is almost towards the end I didnt understand what they ment, but it goes very fast so enjoy it. Study hard and have fun get in a good study group and don't be afraid to ask for help and take advantage of all the office hours. Make sure you read a head and get your CDL. This school is only your first steps into the trade. Your crew members will be your family by the end if it all make the best of it and have fun. If you work hard and pay attention you will do great

Currently attending NLC in Denton Texas. Amazing curriculum along with amazing instructors. Field hours, Climbing, tying knots was definitely the best part of the school. Learning how to change insulators and cross arms was definitely beneficial. Recommend the investment!

You'll learn more then you think possible in 15 weeks. Be ready to absorb everything the instructors say & take good notes whether in the field or in the classroom. Pay attention in the classroom, ask questions, study often and you'll do fine academically. I'm in great shape but climbing vertically will work muscles you didn't even know you had. Get comfortable being uncomfortable. You'll be in that small town for 3 and a half months and make lifelong friends/brothers. You can do anything if you put forth 100% effort.

Our son just graduated NLC on April 2nd, first off we are very proud of him. During his 15 week term he always stayed positive and motivated and we feel that is in part of the excellent NLC instructors and staff !! We feel that NLC instilled confidence through their instructors that our son landed a apprentice lineman job before he graduated.
We also want to thank NLC for their info page on housing, we took a trip to Oroville before the term started to check out housing and met with Mike Hill who offers housing to students. Our son was lucky and was able to stay at Mr Hills house and while there he was allowed great study atmosphere and a great place to do his class work on zoom.
Overall we think anyone thinking about becoming a lineman should 100% attend Northwest lineman college not only will you have a jumpstart on others, but you will be joining a brotherhood that our son will have the rest of his life !!
