My daughter attended a 6 week intensive during the 2018 summer at the Nutmeg Conservatory. Not only was I pleased with the professionalism of the staff, but their attention to detail, structure, and care for the students surpassed all of my expectations. It is evident the staff love what they do and have the students best interest at heart. The staff made my daughter feel like she had been part of the Nutmeg family her entire life! Their encouraging words, warm smiles, and contagious laughter made my daughter love ballet that much more. My daughter had never been away for more than 3 days and at the end of the 6 weeks, she was sad to leave and return back home.

The dormitories were clean, safe, secure and the RAs were all mature and responsible. The studio space was beautiful!

The Nutmeg is about tradition, the tradition of ballet in the Vaganova style, which creates an atmosphere of enjoyment but dedicated to learning .

The Nutmeg does not cater to parents but the students, with the focus on them to make them to best they can be. As a parent, part of you wants the pride of seeing your child practice during the week and to view performances designed to please the student's family. What you get is the foundation of working towards a true performing art that can put them into the "big leagues" to go almost anywhere. Do be prepared that your child, boy or girl, will receive genuine training that treats them as the next star in training, even the little ones that are little more than toddlers.

All of the residential students I have interacted with have been polite and well mannered, dedicated to their dance. The staff is friendly and usually knows you by name and not just another face.

I trust Nutmeg with my children and never worry of their well being when I am not there with them, proven well by their eagerness to return to Nutmeg at every opportunity.
