The people at Option Learning are great but some baby sitters like Alma Salaizar she isn’t, she used to let her dog attack me and she will just laugh about it, there were a few times where she did that and sometimes I don’t doubt she was the one that called the social services on me. She might only pick on certain people. I can’t believe her own family doesn’t know the time of woman she is. Options for Learning should have a rating website for the babysitters so we can get a chance to rate them or the county should or whomever. But it’s a must.

I had the same experience as Shante, my worker back in 2018 was Alicia. She was very rude, disrespectful, and condescending.. She never knew what she was talking about and made things up as she went.. she would always contradict herself and misinform me. She would purposely lie and make me continually repeat signing things and saying things that I had already said… it’s kind of like she was trying to catch me a in a lie.. it was very clear to me that she and a lot of the childcare providers that are contracted with options. They do not like working with AA or people who they assume aren’t Hispanic or Latino.. Alicia went out of her way to gossip about me to my last childcare provider and eventually I called her in front of the childcare worker so that the childcare provider could hear that Alicia was saying about her.. she made a lot of gossip and issues for me. It was very hard for me to find childcare and I regretted every minute that I had to work with them. This is supposed to be something that assists people who cannot afford it.. they make it seem like AA take advantage of the help we’re receiving. Shame on this program and everyone who is the same exact way that Alicia was. Alicia I hope that you see this review and it slaps some sense into you.. don’t forget that in este vida todo se paga. Stop assuming that just because your customers are AA or because they’re dark, that we don’t speak your language. You cannot tell someone’s race/ethnicity or nationality by their skin.

I had such an amazing experience from beginning to end with options for learning in Baldwin Park. The staff was so nice, patient, and informative. The girls I want to thank is Angie,Tina,Nancy, and Jeanette they were the girls who helped me with everything! They always called back, if Angie was away from her desk one of the other girls would kindly assist and help me. What an AMAZING TEAM!. As of last week I now have full time child care and I couldn't be happier ? my kids are especially happy with their new provider. It's very rare nowadays to come across people who actually have a positive attitude who are nice, kind, sweet and helpful. They not only enjoy their job but helping others as well..for such a stressful time in my life I am soooo happy they are the ones who were there to support and guide me, they made this process less stressful for me and I am forever thankful...thank you so much Baldwin park team!!

Sincerely,
Amanda and family...?‍?‍?

I rarely ever take the time to write out a review.. But this is well deserved. I have been a client for the past 14 years and have been blessed by this program making it possible to survive as a full time working single mom of two. There is no way I could have made it without their services. Also I really want to give credit where it is due.. ROSA, a supervisor whom I have never had the privilege of meeting in person.. Showed such compassion going above and beyond to assist me when I wasn't even her own client. She truly sets a perfect example for all workers at Options. She is the very reason I am writing this review. Thank you for all you have done to assist me and my two son's.. And special thanks to Rosa❤

I can't really recall the first lady I had at this office as a (child care specialist)but I know she was not on top of stuff and very unorganized. What I can tell you on a positive note is (child care specialists) Wesley was a awesome help. Very friendly and explained the paperwork to me to a full understanding. I just heard you are no longer with the company I do wish you the best of luck. Thanks so much for helping me get the proper documents needed for my child care in a timely manner. It was really appreciated

From day one my worker has been giving me issues. She never state full facts and is always suspicious of anything I need or ask. I personally think she doesn't like African Americans. There's no other reason for her conduct. She's rude, combative, and treats me and responds to my questions as if I don't matter. I thought this was a service given to those in need to further their life and education. It's workers like her that turn good fortune into negativity. I am currently looking for a source above her office to address the issues that have made me totally uncomfortable.

They give you the run around and find any excuse to not pay the provider after you have already used the child care services. I'm required by Gain to go to school. It's not like I have an income to be able to go back and pay for services rendered. I barely have enough coming in to pay my rent and buy diapers. I thought programs like Options and Gain were supposed to help you succeed and become independent. I feel like I'm being sucked further and further into debt by these government agencies.

They take awhile to answer your calls, I have Betty as a parent specialist, she does take a while to get back to me, plus when she does it's always the run around. I've already used my providers time, and now they are not getting paid? It's not fair or right, I have to work to pay for rent and bills, and to have to pay more out of pocket is just crazy, when I qualify for this program and the funds have already been allocated.

It's just this and that with this agency.
