Love this church, I've never felt that I wasn't accepted, no I'm not without sin, but I pray to do better, and being welcomed is always half the battle. God bless you all.

This is a very nice parish. Suburban community, but very effective at supporting and welcoming everyone to the faith. In addition to the sacramental and spiritual life of the parish, Our Lady of Perpetual Help hosts many community events, including Fish Fries on every Friday during Lent and a fun parish festival every year. The parish also has an impressive amount of time allocated for Eucharistic adoration. Our Lady of Perpetual Help has a healthy and growing number of ways for Catholics to involve themselves in the ministerial life of the church, including lay roles at masses, altar serving, music ministry (choral and instrumental), and more.

Masses are packed every Sunday, come early to get a good seat. The liturgy is moderate to moderate-traditional. No fiddlebacks, but also no liturgical dancing. The music will feature a mix of hymns you know, chants that (perhaps surprisingly) won't bore you, and even more contemporary pieces that (perhaps surprisingly) still feel appropriate for sacred worship. Incense is used frequently, but the space is large enough for those who dislike incense to avoid getting closer than desired.

The parish also has an associated school. I do not have any personal experience with the school, other than attending one Mass on a holy day at which the kids were present. They were well behaved and engaged in the liturgy. I will note that if you plan to attend daily Mass on a day when the kids are there and you have a meeting to get to immediately afterwards, I recommend sitting close to a door, as the kids can really fill the space when exiting.

We just entered the Church at Easter Vigil this year. This parish's RCIA program is incredible. We have learned so much about our faith. Karen Cook and Father Joe are both so welcoming of questions about the Christian faith. Even if you are not Catholic, I would highly recommended this parish if you're looking for a church service on Sundays. The music is beautiful (especially the choir and organ), the service is reverent (without feeling the "holier than thou" vibe), and the parish is a beautifully vibrant community of believers seeking to live out the faith by loving God and others.

I just attended the Easter Vigil. Choir was great and more importantly, song filled the church. Father Joe is the new pastor and I’ve never heard a Catholic priest speak with such fire. I was raised in this church and love my current home church, but will seriously be driving the hour and a half to visit my family and attend Mass there more often.

The talks by Fr. Dan were inspiring; well-prepared and presented as a shepherd would to his sheep. His love of Jesus Christ and his church are clear as crystal. I looked forward to the Tuesdays I could make and solely missed not being able to attend some; but I am thankful I can catch them on the website. The fellowship at my table was also a wonderful opportunity to meet new parishioners and share our faith, concerns and laughter. Please consider providing another opportunity for us to grow as a parish. Thank you!

All are welcome to this beautiful, friendly, holy church. The Mass is the highest form of prayer~ both a sacrament and a sacrifice. You will find a time and type of music to suit your personal preferences, just remember that Mass is not about me, not about you- it’s about Jesus. Daily/weekday Mass is beautiful and intimate and before Mass come pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and holy rosary.

FIRST FRIDAY ADORATION— please— come sit quietly in the real, actual presence of Jesus. He is waiting for you.

There are EXCELLENT Bible studies, men’s prayer groups, divorce support, grief support, Silver Streaks, RCIA (if you want to explore becoming Catholic join this!), Knights of Columbus, Walking with Purpose and more! ALL are welcome.

I've attended mass and a baptism here.

For mass: The church is located in the main doors and then to the left of the lobby area. The Holy Water fountain is found inside. To the right is a cry room if you have small children. Plus, it has it's own bathroom with a baby changing station inside said room! There are also an assortment of small toys and books to keep the small ones occupied while you attend mass. For the most part this is a dressier church. I did see a few jeans and nice tops, but most were in skirts and dress pants. Decent mass, priest wasn't preachy in the sermon, I'd attend mass here again.

For Baptism: The Priest was no nonsense ready to get started on time. He was nice and personable and explained what to do as we went. Stuck around for photos later and allowed photos during. He also answered any questions we had before and afterwards. God Parents were given information cards for proof of... God Parent-ism? So that was nice.
