Both my boys flew through their entrance tests with the help of Pass Tutors. The tutors were fun and relaxed, but knew how to get the learning balance right so the process didn't become tedious or stressful. At the outset, time was spent finding the right fit for the boys - every child learns differently, so having someone they liked but could also learn with was great. Would highly recommend!

PASS Tutors came so highly recommended, it was impossible not to be even a tad cynical but our own experience was testament to quite why so many of our daughter's friends' parents urged us to use their services. Ben Philipp contacted me swiftly upon my initial contact and it was patent that he immediately understood and sympathised with our dilemma. Halfway through Y5 (at a school where using tutors is openly, and rather sneeringly, frowned upon), our child was apparently struggling and, as a result, beginning to suffer from very real anxiety, as her nerves escalated and her academic performance slipped, in a chicken and egg spiral. She soon began weekly Maths tutorials with the equally genial Marcos and rapidly regained much of the confidence she was going to need for the quite risible rigours of the London day schools 11+ admissions process. "Maths is fun with Marcos!" was one regular declaration. She also attended a couple of Ben's well-structured half term/holiday workshops and the very detailed feedback we received from these proved invaluable. Regular progress reports have also been a welcome benefit. Both Ben and Marcos have proved highly professional and, moreover, easy and charming to deal with. Our family has such a lot to thank them for and we will be urging any other frustrated parents we come across to get in touch with PASS Tutors. Very highly recommended.

My son’s English homework was always last on the list of priorities. He hated it, thought he was no good. Ben gave him the tools to build his understanding and his confidence. He was writing beautiful creative pieces after a few months and began to love the subject. Ben also worked to timelines after his confidence improved, to ensure he could complete comprehension and writing in a specified timeframe. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend PassTutors and especially Ben. He transformed my child from tears and frustration to a positive and enthusiastic writer.

Both our boys (now 13 and 11) have been prepared for their 11+ exams with Pass Tutors and I couldn't recommend them enough. The tutor they were paired with was always consistent, patient, structured and very approachable. As a parent, I am not in favour of over tutoring children but Pass tutors figures out what needs attention and approaches the sessions in a fun and engaging manner (the weekly sessions were taking place virtually). We couldn't be happier with the preparation they were given without the pressure that this can sometimes bring and as a result, both boys got into their number one choice.
We will definitely be contacting Pass Tutors again in the future if support is needed.

We were hugely impressed with the tutoring Pass tutors provided for our son. The tutors that he had were full of enthusiasm and really made learning fun and interactive which we know really helped consolidate his learning. As well as the weekly online classes, he also attended a 3 day course which he also enjoyed. We were so thrilled when we found out he’d been offered a place at The Graveney school, he’s so excited about starting in September. Massive thanks to Ben and Pass Tutors for equipping our son with the tools to succeed. PASS Tutors prepared 2 of my boys for 11+ exams - I couldn’t recommend them more highly. They were instrumental in getting both boys into their first choice of school. Ben’s fantastic energy keeps kids engaged and motivated even where sessions are virtual. Feedback on progress is prompt, transparent and direct which helps to prioritise any areas requiring more attention and also keeps expectations in check. Ben has an excellent knowledge of what to expect in exams for specific schools allowing the sessions to be tailored as appropriate. We used Pass Tutors to prepare for the Common Entrance. They were fantastic! They went above and beyond helping my son study all his subjects, organise his notes, take mock exams and build his confidence and test taking skills for the 13 exams.
