I came for a haircut. The student stylist was careful and methodical. She did what I asked. The supervisor checked in before the cut and during, providing advice in a helpful and respectful manner. A cut here takes a bit longer because of the process, but it's a great value and the training and oversight are good.

Hi! I’m a future professional (that’s what us students are called) at Paul Mitchell Huntsville and my experience here has been amazing! The education and culture is the reason I came to school here. I want to address the comments about how long the services take so that you can understand and prepare for your day at Paul Mitchell the school when you come in for a service.

This is a SCHOOL and there’s multiple different levels of experience when it comes to the students. Some of us have been here a year and some have only been here for a couple months. Some of us come to school with previous experience and some of us don’t. We all deserve service experience though! It is a school after all and we come here to learn hands on training! So when you schedule your service, please plan to be there at least a few hours and be understanding when it takes longer than what you expected. The way it works is we start the consultation and then we introduce the guest to our learning leader and we agree with a plan for the service. The future professional will then begin the service and each service has to be checked by the learning leader before continuing to the next step in the service. This insures that you get a quality service and don’t leave with an uneven haircut, etc. Keep in mind there are more students than learning leaders so sometimes even we have to wait to ask a question.

Have you ever started a new job and realized it takes you a little longer than others who have been in the position for years? The same thing goes for us future professionals! We appreciate our guests coming in to allow us to practice our skills and timing on each service!

One thing you can always count on is walking into an accepting, positive, and uplifting environment! We like to have a fun time at Paul Mitchell while we create and practice our art!

The instructor was really Rude. I feel really bad for the student, because they are not getting a good example/education on how you should treat clients. I left crying and feeling hurt.

I personally was extremely disappointed with my experience today with Paul Mitchell. I went in for a silk press and when assigned a stylist I expressed my concerns to the stylist and instructor about how I didn’t feel comfortable and would like another stylist and they refused. The instructor even insisted that I put the stylist feelings before my own. I never felt so violated. While leaving I witnessed another stylist who was not busy and willing to do my hair when we both went to the front desk to request the change they informed us that I’m not able to make such a request. I understand that this is a learning environment but this also a service that I am paying for and I also was required to sign documents stating that the school or stylist is not responsible for any damages done to my hair so I feel I should have some say so in who the stylist for my hair will be. If this sounds like an experience you don’t wish to have while seeking beauty services I would not recommend Paul Mitchell in Huntsville AL.

I went in for a wash, cut and blow out, my stylist was Olivia, she did a great job on my cut I’m very impressed! Her instructors were as well. The hair washing experience was top tier. Overall I’m very satisfied.

Overall I love my hair, also shoutout to Leslie and Tonya for being so understanding and patient with my student stylist. My only complaint is 4 different instructors were teaching different techniques at once. (My opinion), I feel like one instructor should assist while coaching a student on technique.

However with my experience, there were several instructors coaching my stylist on techniques. Most of which left because they were done for the day.

Like I said my hair is beautifully done, but I feel like my stylist was very overwhelmed and rushed. Especially with 4 different instructors telling her different advice.

This is my go-to place for my hair cuts color and highlights Robert the owner is fantastic as well as all of the students over the years I have always been pleased... The salon itself makes you feel like you're not in Huntsville Alabama but more like in New York I love that atmosphere as well ..have been going there since it opened in 2008.. and will continue to go.... Anyone on the fence about getting their hair cut colored or highlighted by a student you shouldn't be it is all professionally over seen by the instructors..( teachers)
.... And sometimes if you're lucky enough you might even get to see Robert the owner and he will oversee your haircut color or whatever in a word Robert is beyond talented... He is fantastic!
