Had a great tour with Ms.Kayla , she is very professional, beautiful, knowledgeable & personable. I am looking forward to graduating from this school. My daughter was excited to be on a tour with her mama & I’m happy PMNH allowed me to bring her along for my tour. The school was very clean and organized! 😊

I went in for a short pixie hair cut ,Im completely satisfied. My stylist was Shane, he was assisted by his teacher Miss Stephanie. She is a great instructor, with so much knowledge! She knew exactly how I wanted my hair and she took over and finished me off. I received many compliments about my hair. I will be returning every two weeks, for hair services!

My Daughter was a student and Paul Mitchell. I have kept quiet because I didn’t want to stir up any trouble and cause her to not graduate. Now that she’s graduated here’s my honest review. The school is nice and clean, and there are several talented students there, however I would not recommend. While my daughter was a student I visited several times for her to service me. Every single time I brought my 7 year old daughter with me, sometimes she was serviced as well. We were regulars visiting every 3 weeks for my daughter to do my hair. One particular time maybe my 5th or 6th time (NOT MY 1st) I checked in and signed my waiver as I do every time and hang my coat up, wait for my daughter to call me to the back. This time in particular I was told before my daughter even made it to get me that “My daughter (7 year old) wasn’t allowed in the back and that in order for me to receive services I would have to either leave her in the car or out in the waiting area until I was done.” Now I was completely thrown off guard as we have been there several time and my daughter (7 year old) has never caused an issue she simply plays on her tablet and waits for me to finish. At that point I was embarrassed as the waiting area was PACKED and I chose to just cancel my appt and leave. I called my daughter and she went and got someone who asked me not to leave and they would handle it. I was asked not to leave and told it was totally ok if my daughter sat back there with me and apologized for the miscommunication. The lady who was at the front desk snarled and simply said “she was doing her job” However she’s been the same lady who has checked us in time after time again. I expressed my disheartened feelings and let it be known that I will never return. And I didn’t. What gets me is every since then my Daughter was targeted almost every single time she clocked in after. I stayed quiet but now that’s she’s done, I would never recommend anyone there. I felt racially profiled and misunderstood. There needs to be so many changes there and I’m only speaking from the experience I had. My daughter can speak her own truth as a student.

I saw bad reviews on here, but I was like oh maybe they just had a bad experience. But I had a bad experience also I’m a veteran so the VA pays 100% for my school if you go to the nail program, they only offer part time which they failed to mention during my tour and in the catalogue that they sent me it does not mention that they only offer part-time. It wasn’t until after I paid my hundred dollar nonrefundable application fee, got the enrollment agreement and they got all of my personal information and everything for me to have to call back and ask them do they offer a full-time nail course? So they don’t offer a full-time course so you won’t be getting your full benefits if you’re a veteran going for nails.

I used to attend here, I don’t want to write a whole paragraph but long story short the school doesn’t really care about the students for real and the least stressful way to go here is if you’re rich and have a car. Do more research on other schools before you pick this one. I WISH I did but at the same time it’s not the worst, I liked a few teachers and the students are cool too it’s just hard to focus sometimes and the teachers don’t let you go to a private area even if you can’t focus. Also, if you’re a teacher that doesn’t save you from bad treatment. Teachers have quit before because of poor treatment from co workers and their boss.

Wonderful place. Once you enter you are welcomed warmly with minimal waot. The prices are terrific but so are the students. It does take longer so be prepared for that. What I love is that the students listen better than the expensive stylists I have had at high end salons and they have to check with the treachery for everything.

I went in feeling blah and came out feeling like a million bucks !!!

We were there from 1.30 to 5pm. My mother has dementia and is 85 years old. She was too sick to get her hair done for over 1 year. Her hair was a mess. I needed something easy to manage. The student dyed her hair and did a great job. She was a little clueless about what to do with the cut. I have been bald for 30 years. I couldn't explain well what we needed, but we needed short, feminine, and easy. After the cut, her hair was too long and she looked like George Washington with a wide part down the middle. I expressed my dissatisfaction. The teacher with a long black dress and long black hair told me that this is what my mother wants. I made it clear at the onset that she has dementia. The teacher did not care in the least that I was unhappy. She was rude to me and set a HORRIBLE example for the student. In the end, the owner cut mom's hair. Now it is short, easy to manage and wonderful. He listened to me and understood. I'm so grateful to him. Please coach the teacher on professionalism and how hard it is to be a caretaker for the elderly.

Working as an Admissions Assistant at Paul Mitchell School was an interesting experience. I was let go due to what they claimed was a "low budget," which I know was not the true reason. Despite their claims, the admissions lead often expressed how overwhelmed she was and how much my presence helped, making their explanation unconvincing.
The work environment was incredibly strict, offering only a 30-minute lunch break, which hardly supports a healthy work-life balance. One of the more absurd rules was that we were required to drink from a Paul Mitchell-branded mug, with no outside coffee cups like Dunkin' or Starbucks allowed. Additionally, I was told I had to wear makeup at all times, and one day, when I wasn't feeling well and didn’t have a full face on, it became an issue. It’s hard to understand how they could claim they didn’t need someone there anymore, especially when the workload was overwhelming for the team. To me, it feels like they gave a disingenuous reason for letting me go. The atmosphere was unprofessional, with caddy behavior from coworkers that felt like high school drama. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
Don't work here, you won't be happy!
