Year after year, Per scholas refuses to meet the need of the community and offer flexible scheduling. Everyone cannot afford to quit their 9-5 to attend training from 9-4. Per Scholas could easily make some trainings available on demand or offer evening courses to Columbus residents. Unless you are fortunate to have an evening role or are comfortable taking on a huge debt to cover living expenses, assuming you are approved for the loan, then Per Scholas is not for you.

My daughter is an alum and suggested this school. I took the End User Desktop Support program and earned my CompTIA A+ certification online. I believe in what they do and hope to one day teach here. It’s a great program with a lot of corporate support. Per Scholas not only prepares students for jobs in IT, they also provide professional development so they can present themselves as the polished and capable IT professionals they have become.

DO NOT!!! Join the Women in Tech software engineering program!!!! it is unorganized with no single job prospect in sight after joining. Before joining we were told that they had some employer's lined up to hire and will aid in the hiring process during and after the program. They had no one lined up to hire us, and just lied until we finished the program. I joined this program to get knowledge/learn and get a foot in the door of IT but received no help before or after with any job prospect. The IT Support route is better and will land you a job afterwards, but please DO NOT!!! sign-up for the WISE Software Engineering course.
Very unorganized program with people who lie about opportunities that were never there to begin with.
If I could give it 0 stars I would.

This program can be achieved IF YOU:
1. Show up everyday on time for class
2. Ask the instructor a lot of questions and can show him/her that you value critical thinking skills to affirm complex connections
3. You complete ALL assisted labs properly and actually understand how to maneuver in commands, scripts and memorize steps and hardware identification.
4. You complete all quizzes and tests with a 90% and up. That means you keep retaking the quizzes until you can understand the questions and methodologies from memory. A bare bones 70% will not help you pass Comptia A+ real exams as its 80% technical troubleshooting and mastering process of elimination
5. You MUST complete all outside class work first and then study no less than 4 to 8 hours 90% of the days in the 15 weeks doing program.
6. Only 55% of my cohort class passed Comptia ( 2 parts ) due to lack of discipline, staying up too late, not studying on the weekends, not showing respect to class instructor by constantly being late for class, etc.
7. Even if you pass the class ( that includes completing Google IT certification which is a lot of work ), obtain Comptia A+ certification, THE REAL WORLD is harsh and getting a great IT job will be very difficult. IT field is currently saturated and laziness will not get you hired.
8. Do NOT take this program ( freely paid by Per Scholas ) if you are not willing to put in 120% effort. Raw determination is a requirement to be successful in life. Job markets out there are brutal and no mercy will be given to slackers.
...... on a good note; I care about you and genuine warm hug for all whom are ready to embark on this journey! God Bless you!

So I was giving this program from a few people who attended though it was a good idea for me signed up for the class I needed
Talked to admissions she said that she was sure if that class fitted for me so I should be in This TWOC class and if I have did that just let them and they'll get me to the right place ok so I gave it a try 1st red flag they offer you money to attend but don't tell you they get a grand of 20 from the government to have you there 2nd red flag the instructor is a recent student without much experience or knowledge herself 3red flag they deflected if you take your problems to them it's not they fault it's not their responsibility to be organized understands what needs should be met from the student that's really trying to learn the basics of that class was something I learned and was certified in an 2002 they told me I needed that still excuse me you can't make the government double pay for something I have already taken asked to be transferred to the program I needed was met with lies then a withdrawal letter stating I wanting to get out of there They are very unprofessional here you can tell they have never been in positions of power before very sad program experience especially coming from someone of your damn color the program is a joke it's a money grab from the government this program really needs to be investigated
