Phil is a great tutor who has recently helped me with MAT119 (College Algebra). He gives clear notes and shows examples that make topics easier to understand. Instead of just showing you how to do it, he explains how it works and makes it interesting. Phil will let you lead the session if you want, but still makes sure you cover everything you need. He’s also super kind and easy to talk to, so you can even make a friend if you want. I highly recommend him!

I LOVE PHIL, HE IS THE BEST! I've been working with him for 2-3 years, and he's helped me immensely. He understands all of my questions and always explains things as many times as it takes for me to get it. Plus, his office is really cozy and he always has a ton of cool pens, paper, and math posters in his room. He is kind, intelligent, and passionate about learning. I couldn't recommend more! He has helped me with Algebra 2 Trig as well as AP Pre Calculus and has been immensely helpful with both.

I WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND PHIL!!!!
I began getting tutored by Phil mainly for Arithmetic in march, I went about once a week for 3 months and in just that short amount of time the progress I made was INSANE! Phil will explain every way to solve a problem and make sure you fully understand how and why you got the answer to a question. He is very patient and understanding, I felt absolutely no judgement when I didn’t know something fairly basic and he talked me through every step if I didn’t understand something. I feel like I learned more in those 3 months than I did in a full year of high-school math. He is super kind and very flexible with his schedule. I appreciate all of the help he was and because of his help I was confident in my ability to take my entrance exam for college and passed.

My son and daughter (middle school) had 2 ~ 3 months of math tutoring from Phil in 2022 fall. Phil was an amazing math teacher who is warm and enthusiastic. My kids started having passion for learning math and improved their math academic performance while they were with Phil.
