After a year of struggling with our 6 year old's total lack of interest in school or reading, we found Chicago Home Tutor who set us up with a tutor who is perfect for our son. Nate engages our son in such a wonderful way, and since working with him, our son is so much more interested in reading. He will even periodically ask, "Mom, when is Mr. Nate coming?" whereas before tutoring he would refuse to sit with us or caregivers to focus on a learning activity. Highly recommend!!

Our 13 year-old is starting his third year with his tutor, Mia. What was a test two Summers ago turned out to be the best way to help our son with his learning differences (dysphasia). We have been so amazed to see his progress academically and socially month after month ever since he started working with her. School had always been synonymous of hell for him (and for us all as a family) until we met Laura Reber at Chicago Home Tutor. It changed our lives for the best! Particularly this year, when the "Zoom classes" with school and with our tutor became so crucial. We are extremely thankful for Progress Parade to be there for us as our son can continue his classes with Mia from North Carolina, where we have recently moved for him to pursue what he loves in an Animal Science (vet) high school!!

I’m a working mom of three children and when the COVID-19 global pandemic struck and schools moved to e-learning I quickly learned that I was unable to balance it all and give all of my kids the attention they needed to succeed in their school work. My middle child especially needed some 1:1 attention and was struggling not being in a school setting. While we worked on his assignments at home I knew he would benefit from engaging with a tutor even if online. I reached out and we were quickly paired with an excellent and engaging tutor. We’ve been working with her for 2.5 months and she provides weekly structured lessons, guidance and feedback. Aside from focusing on the educational needs of my child she also takes the time to connect with him on a personal level. We’ve been pleased with his progress and even signed up our oldest child as a way to reinforce her learnings from the school year.

My son has been struggling with dyslexia and ADHD his entire life.
We had an in home tutor for many years and then she moved away. Enter Chicago Home Tutor (who was recommended through a friend).
Colin, who is in 8th grade and hates school, absolutely LOVES Mia.
She is so relatable. She doesn't make the kids feel like they are going to her for "help". She makes them feel like she is a support and they CAN do the work. In the past, with other tutors, Colin would do anything to get out of the session. With Mia, he has never skipped a session and more importantly asks if he gets to meet with Mia this week. Due to the pandemic, we have been exclusively virtual learning and there is absolutely no difference in quality in online sessions vs. in person sessions. They have a great relationship and I'm excited to work with her through his HS years.
