Our experience with Rainbow Montessori school for infant and toddler programs has been great. There are several good teachers like Ms. Perla and Ms. Sheila who take great care of kids and I highly recommend them. Kindergarten experience was also decent and Ms. Chitra does her best to work with the kids. 1st grade experience under Ms. Natalie has been terrible and a total nightmare. She isn’t mature enough to understand things from a child's point of view and complains about everything. Kids in 1st grade need lots of love and this is the single most important thing in the class room. If a kid doesn't listen the first time she gets upset and she doesn't want to put any effort to make the kids understand. One day our son scribbled on the table and she didn't give him lunch as a consequence. We are not against consequences but there got to be better ways of handling small issues.

We gave Ms. Natalie the benefit of doubt when she first complained, kept our focus on our child and tried to work out the differences but nothing helped. We finally decided to take our son out of the class after 2 weeks and also from the school after realizing she is absolutely horrendous and doesn’t want to work with kids. She is also extremely rude with parents and even lacks basic manners. My son had really nice teachers in the earlier grades and this is the first bad experience for us. We put our son in a new school and he is doing great. Its been 3 weeks so far and there is not a single complaint from the teachers.

I am extremely happy with the progress my daughter has made at Rainbow Montesorri. I enrolled her when she was 1 year old and now she is 4.

All the teachers are extremely caring and nice. The classroom are spacious and clean. I would highly recommend this daycare.

We had very bad experience in this school when my daughter was studying kindergarten. The only reason we opted here is because they accept 4 yr old in kindergarten. moved my daughter to public school now, she is happier, learning more, much better experience. Even she is promoted to 1st grade after 8 week analysis....I would not recommend this school to my friends.

Their infant program is awesome. Spacious, cleaner than more expensive places (the reason why we chose), and the teachers are really loving. Low teacher turn over (LO had to get a new teacher only when he moved to a new room). The owner seems really loving - it's a big facility (daycare to elementary school) but she remembers babies by their names and my baby also remembers her and makes a big smile at her. They also teach baby sign language which makes my life easier. It might be we're lucky but but for the past 9 months of attending, LO didn't get sickness much that the pediatrician asked us if LO is still going daycare. He said LO must have a super strong immune system and that might be it, but I think their cleanness helped.
I hope their toddler / preschool will be as good.

Great coaching. My son is studying first grade in Rainbow Montessori, Sunnyvale . I can see very good improvement both in studies and his personality. He love to go to school. His class teacher Ms. Sami is the best. I am going to enroll my twins too there. Best coaching and safe place for kids.

Both of my kids are in Rainbow Montessori since their preschool program. The curriculum and way of teaching is very good.Teachers are very caring and communicative. One of my son went to Ms. Lily's class for Kindergarten (L4).She is very nice teacher. She worked very hard on my son.Now he is very good in both mathematics and language.I use to worry about him as he use to talk very less, but now his communication has improved.I can clearly make out the positive difference with him before going to Ms Lily's class and after completing KG program and I really feel very satisfied with his progress. Same is with my other kid. He went to Ms. Sora's class for Kindergarten (L2).

I called today and had the worst experience. I had heard extremely good things about this school from a cousin that brought her kids to Rainbow Montessori from 5 weeks old to 5th grade. Her kids are now in college but she said some of their teachers were still there. One of these children had a feeding problem and the teacher in the school had helped him tremendously.

I have a 3 year old with special needs and was looking for a school with caring teachers. In some programs my son is just placed with children younger than him, since he’s not disruptive or dangerous to other kids in any way. I called to ask if they accepted children like my son, and the person who picked the phone didn’t let me speak. She asked how old was my child, I said “three, but...” she cut me, asked if he was potty trained “no, but...” she cut me and said that they only accept potty trained children “and by potty trained we mean blablabla”. When I found an oportunity (she had to stop to breathe) I said “but I’ve heard you take younger children too, right? I was wondering...” “we take two year olds, but if he’s three he has to be potty trained, we have a very long waiting list, so potty train first” “yes, but what I was trying to tell you” I said fast, before she cut me again “is that my child has some special needs...”, “oh, special needs? We don’t do special needs, look somewhere else okay” “mmkay?” “Bye” and she cut.

Long story short, even if I did have a 3 year old, potty trained and cookie cutter compliant child, I would not bring him to this place. If this is the way of the front desk person, I dread to think what the rest will be. It would have been better to have an answering machine say “if your child is potty trained, press one” and stuff like that, than have someone rudder than a machine tell you that they have plenty of people dying to get in, so they don’t need you.

It is sad to see the name of Maria Montessori associated to a place like this.
