RFTC is a fantastic flight school. They have many great instructors to choose and several well-maintained aircrafts to rent. RFTC provides a fun, friendly learning environment with opportunities to meet other student pilots and aviation professionals. Ramona airport has a large runway to learn on, helpful ATC and good FBO services on the ground. If you are thinking about flight lessons and Ramona is within your vicinity, definitely give RTFC a look.

Great training facility at the Ramona airport. I received my private pilot’s license here and I am moving on to my instrument rating. All the CFI’s in this program are very professional, fun to work with and super helpful! The aircraft in the fleet are very clean and well maintained. The classroom and offices are always clean and available for studying. If you are interested in flight training, look no further!

Ramona flight training has been such a great experience! Everyone truly cares about you and your progression and it is a true community feel. My flight instructor Jack Yu is so great. He really helped me get through my pre-solo training and just a few months later I had my private. He is a CFII so I am lucky I can continue my training with him through instrument & commercial.

I called several part 61 schools in the area and Ramona was by far the most approachable. Scheduling the planes and training was very easy. I ended up working with Jack Yu as my CFI and he turned out to be a fantastic instructor and was always available when I wanted to fly. He went out of his way to make sure I got my license and is an all-around great guy. I live closer to several other airports but I really prefer to keep flying out of Ramona, it's a close-knit community.

Ramona FTC is an amazing environment for learning to fly. Their aircraft are well cared for and the instructors are top notch. My instructor, Doug, brings over 16K hours of flight experience into the cockpit. Everyone is super supportive. It's a great family atmosphere.

Miss this place sooooooo much. Such a nice, friendly bunch of good folk, whilst also very professional. Got my FAA PPL here in 2022, just before my company relocated me to Spain, Europe.
I had hoped to get more time here in SoCal, to get my CPL, CFI etc here. 🙁
Really looking forward to visit soon and meet up with “da gang”.
Thank you Eric, Crystal, Thomas, Jack, Doug, Jim (tower) and others who I forget about now….for one of the best times in my life!!!

I have flown with my instructor Jack Yu for the last few months. He has been fantastic!! Everyone at Ramona FTC make you feel encouraged while in a great atmosphere for learning. They brought the fun back in Aviation for myself personally after dealing with unprofessional and often greedy flight schools and aviation programs!!

I have been so impressed with my experience at Ramona Flight Training Center. The instructors are friendly and knowledgeable; scheduling the aircraft is easy and organized; and they have gone the extra nautical mile to organize regular ground school sessions on different aviation topics, even an RFTC BBQ and movie night...great people who have helped me in my training and are fun to be around
