A Lifeline for Our Family
Read Academy has been nothing short of life-changing for our family. After years of watching my son struggle and be completely left behind in traditional public schools, I had almost lost hope. The teachers, principals, and district staff simply didn’t have the resources or understanding to help him. It wasn’t until I found an incredible private tutor, who had over 30 years of experience in special education, that we began to see a light at the end of the tunnel. She recognized that my son needed something different, and with her guidance, I learned about my rights, advocated for my son, and found Read Academy.

From the moment we walked through the doors of Read Academy, everything changed. The caring, individualized attention and the dedication of the staff to truly understand my son’s needs have allowed him to thrive in ways I never thought possible. For the first time in years, I saw my son’s confidence grow, his love for learning rekindled, and his potential unlocked.

This school goes above and beyond for its students, treating each child with the dignity and respect they deserve. The staff at Read Academy didn’t just help my son academically—they gave him his future back. My only wish is that more schools could follow their lead and show the same level of care and commitment to our children. I am forever grateful.

Our daughter participated in the after school tutoring for two years. I greatly appreciated the curriculum design with the emphasis on phonics. My daughter’s tutor was exceptionally patient with her, and my daughter made tremendous progress over those two years. I am grateful for all the support provided to her.

The READ Learning Center has been a wonderful discovery for our family. Our teenage daughter has Down syndrome and is still learning to read. She is a bright child in many ways, but we could never seem to get any traction with our many attempts to help her read. We worked with numerous tutors, tried vision therapy and worked many hours with her at home. Eventually we realized that she may have an undiagnosed learning disorder. We are now in our fourth month of tutoring at the READ Learning Center and we are seeing results. The admin and staff are welcoming, supportive and quick to respond to all questions and concerns. We are feeling very grateful for the wonderful people at the READ Learning Center and the great work they are doing for our daughter and others.
