River House has been a Godsend for our family. Being home alone was no longer an option for my Dad. He fought us for the first few months about going to River House. Now he can't wait to get there. He looks forward to seeing every one of the staff members and the friends he has made within the clientele. He has a whole second family at River House. He talks about River House to any and all who will listen. I can't thank them enough for all they do each and every day.

For the past 5 years I have been begging my Mom to participate in some type of senior services throughout the community because, although she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and was independently functioning, she was not socializing or getting any exercise. I started to see the signs of her slipping into depression as well as her memory really slipping. Well of course Mom never thought of herself as a senior, even at 76 years old, and would say that she wasn’t old enough yet! I finally had her doctor ‘prescribe’ two weekly visits to River House, and after the first full visit she was hooked! She does physical and mental exercise activities, gardening, singing songs, she is meeting so many friends and already has a few that she ‘hangs out’ with! They also go on field trips every week to the beach, the park and have a special garden they tend to off site! Mom can’t wait to tell me all of her stories about her day when I come home from work, and that is exactly what I wanted for her at this time of her life! Every day Mom asks if she is going to the ‘Club’, I just can’t tell you what an impact River House has had on both of our lives! They have lifted a huge burden off of my shoulders and I am grateful that they are in our community !

Very nice place wonderful staff
You could not ask for a better team
They really represent who they are, they care for you and your loved ones but also care about you as a caregiver who is going through the stress. .iIcan't begin to explain how they have helped me the administrative team and social worker I don't know what I would have done without them if there were 10 stars they would have deserved it
