My son Jordon has been attending CREC River St. since last year. Before, when Jordon was in public schools he unfortunately had learned behaviors that were caused by staff giving into Jordon's demands. When it came time for Jordon to do actual schoolwork he would have meltdowns so bad they actually started sending him home at 11 am. That is just not enough for an adequate education so we petitioned to have Jordon placed in a private school (for the 4th time) and this time we won. When I saw that CREC River St. was one of the choices I knew that is where he would go. The improvement he has made in speech is astounding and his socialization skills have skyrocketed. His teacher Ernie Poole is the greatest, he knows Jordon and is familiar with his behaviors and always has great ideas on how to curb these behaviors. Jordon has a great team working with him and for him and all of them put you at a sense of ease and make you feel included as well. There is no better school for children with autism than this one.

Wonderful school with specialized programs for children with autism and other special needs. My grandson has autism and goes to school there. My daughter and her husband are very pleased with the quality of the school's programs, the faculty and staff!
