I love Ross. I’m so happy that they opened a store here. I can’t wait to go shop with my mom. I used to buy my clothes from there when I lived in California. I hope they open some stores in New York too.

Updating my review so my mom and I went yesterday the service there was really great and the store is very nice. The only thing is they’re a little bit limited on some merchandise but I understand because they just opened on Saturday so hopefully they’ll bring in more soon.

To be very specific to the whole experience at this Ross location. Key points to keep in mind:
- They currently have little to no stock of almost anything.
- They only have one or two cashiers, and they move out of pace in which I’ve never seen before as far as slowness, More preoccupied with having the hangers look perfectly neat than making sure that we get through the line Of almost 20 people plus. From my few visits there I’ve seen a lease 10 to 15 people walk out the line and leave the store that’s unacceptable. One thing that I do love within retails like target they have a timer of how long you should be taking with people.
- The biggest part they have a young woman who is a manager there who just stands there while the lines keep getting bigger. If you are a manager, you need to improvise you need to delegate. You need to show your team that you can get the line moving and bring more satisfaction to the customers. This manager each time just stares at the line and stands right next to the cashier and does nothing. It’s not hard to say hey I’ll take the next five people so at least you can have crowd control and then proceed to make sure that everyone else is doing fine in the store as well. If that’s how Management is supposed to behave just staring at the customers and doing nothing to further lower the line that has a very poor management skill. I have done management and multiple companies never well. I just sit there and watch you are a leader lead by example.

Good point:
- The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars Instead of 1, Simply because the cashiers were at least well behaved, and they interacted with the customers and interaction is what brings people more comfort within any retail. Something, the female manager, there could learn from instead of staring at customers waiting for over an hour just to get through a line of sometimes 15 people.
- The prices on some items were actually really nice and decently affordable, I would recommend absolutely for people who are looking for nice affordable clothing, toys, or accessories.

I was so excited to see Ross was opening a store in CT, loved going to it in NC but this store was a MESS!!! They barely had anything and they just opened. Clothes was mixed in everywhere. The line was wrapped around and they only had 2 registers open which shortly turned to 1! We were in line for 45mins!! They really need to get it together soon.

The guy working in the fitting rooms was absolutely rude to me. Don’t know if it was racial profiling, or he made assumptions about me based off my look ( I’m only wearing a hoodie and leggings) .. walked to the fitting room and he was on the phone. As I was coming to a halt he rudely wagged his finger at me to stop.. ok. He gets off the phone and he just tells me to put my clothes on a rack, he counts it and points to the fitting rooms. No “hello how are you” or “welcome to Ross” nothing. As I’m trying my clothes on I overhear him talking to customers walking past how are they, and if he can help with anything..but I wasn’t met with that energy and i actually needed the help. I walked out the fitting rooms, and asked him “where can I put the things I don’t want.” He goes “ I need to see all of them.” In a flat tone. There was definitely a nicer way he could have gone about that, I’ve never shopped here prior I don’t know the procedures. I paused for a second confused, and he goes SHARPLY” I’m just doing my job” very very rude and uncalled for. Don’t know what his problem is but it definitely rubbed me the wrong way. I only give 2 stars bc the security and cashier were nice to me, and I liked the selection of clothes I got. But his attitude ruined the shopping experience for me. I didn’t report it to a manager, but if it happens again I surely will.
