Very good instruction with lots of real world experience to draw from. Any poor reviews on here are probably from people that were dangerous with a firearm and couldn’t handle being told that. He deliberately stresses you to simulate the stress in a real self defense situation (as good as you can in a classroom anyways). Knowledge is top notch, and if you listen to instruction/feedback and are honest with your skill level he is very patient with you. I’m very glad I came to this place for my CCW training. I have a lot more respect for my own firearms now, and a better understanding of how to handle them to prevent a negligent discharge. Keeping my family safe both from outside threats and from the tools use to do it was the goal and I feel like I have started down that road on the right foot.

Sacramento Security Training Center is a great place for all your security licensing and training needs.

Both Scot and Ian are great at what they do. They enjoy teaching and love sharing their life experiences with students.

Ian is passionate about security and protection industry and makes learning fun and exciting while going above and beyond in preparing students for the real world. His life experience is invaluable. He is a great conversationalist; engaging and lively. There is never a dull moment in this class.
Ian also goes the extra step in helping those with minimal English language skills. Takes extra time to explain things in relatable easy terms. He cares about each student’s success.
It was a pleasure learning from 2 very skilled professionals

I spent 8 years in the Marine Corps, 3 years as a range coach and the Exposed Carry and Concealed Carry class was the best I've taken. Mr. Ian Willis is EXTREAMLY knowledgeable about EVERYTHING (it seemed). He's highly trained and very passionate about what he does. I recommend any of SSTC's training/certifying classes.

I had a two-days armed security guard training here. I really appreciate the trainer for the training. Their training and guidance enabled me to pass my PSI in first attempt. I will be having all my trainings as required by the BSIS here. Loved them.
