In the past few years has been encouraging racism and harmful ideologies and their coursework. Various courses are enforced but completely unneeded for any kind of academic success. I believe this is completely for funding purposes. I would not recommend

Delta College has a less than efficient administration in more than one area. They don’t follow protocol with their school policies if they even know what they are. The school policy about student appeals and hearings in front of Board Members etc. is an example of the most extreme case of conflict of interest I have ever come across. It was always in front of another fellow staff member and never an unbiased outside party. At the end of the day, these people potluck together. Every time questions surface about their conduct in correlation to following policy they tell me they have to check on “that”. My husband was a student last year and either didn’t get responded to or passed over to a diff. faculty member who wasn’t knowledgeable at all about the assistance he needed. He was a victim of identity theft and the grades resulting from it kept him ineligible for financial aid for about a year despite the fact he never received a dollar in financial aid during that period. Seems to me there should be some policies in place for cases like that since a couple years ago all those fraudulent accounts in FA were discovered by two professors. This place needs a serious overhaul in financial aid admin. I knew it was bad when more than one faculty informed me FA admin was a joke. The previous director resigned and then they lowered the bar on the position so someone not qualified could hold the position of FA Director. When I myself attended back in the 90’s the date the FA office posted was the date we got paid! You could bank on it. Today FA date disbursements are explained as subject to change and are only just an estimate as to a pay date. That sounds like it could use some consistency and routine processes so current students can have some certainty as to a paydate and budget their bills accordingly.
This educational institution broke protocol on so many levels, I wound up majoring in Legal Studies myself so I could press charges on institutions like this whose main concerns are power trips rather than the welfare of students.

Delta college gives you a lot of choices to explore if you dont know what you want to study. In fact there is a lot of hands-on certificates. In about 12 weeks you can become a certified nurse assistant (CNA). I’m a CNA thanks to this program.

I can't speak to the teaching, but this school is horrible. The financial aid office is horrible and the school accountants are thieves. Just found out they took 20,000 out in loans under my wife's name without our knowledge. They also lied on their reporting to the IRS. Complete thieves.

These plants are beautiful, and there is a large selection of exotic plants...the puts great pride into his selection and has great knowledge on his merchandise.

As a student who values support and engagement, my experience at Delta College has been deeply disappointing. Despite my eagerness to learn and engage, I've encountered numerous obstacles due to the lack of support from teachers, the absence of effective communication within the school, and the dearth of organizations designed to aid students.

One of the most disheartening aspects has been the inability to rely on teachers for guidance and assistance. Instead of fostering an environment of learning and growth, many teachers seem indifferent or disinterested in helping students navigate their academic challenges. Whether it's a lack of availability during office hours or a dismissive attitude towards student inquiries, the overall sense of apathy among the teaching staff has been palpable.

Furthermore, the communication within the school leaves much to be desired. Important information about deadlines, events, and resources is often communicated haphazardly, if at all. This lack of clear communication not only creates confusion but also exacerbates the feeling of isolation among students who are already struggling to find their place within the school community.
