I was in the Material Handling class and achieved my Certified Logistics Associate certification & my forklift certification. The instructor Mr. Tan is highly motivational and believes in all of his students. I feel as though I can excel in the logistics career field. I heard great reviews and even students who completed this class and wish to return. If you wish for a career in logistics or something fulfilling and worthwhile material handling is the class for you.

I am writing this under an appreciation for one particular teacher: Mr. Tan, the instructor for the Material Handling trade.

Mr. Tan is a person of good principles. A notable one I've seen from my time being in his class with the ethic of respect & fairness; I make sure to return the same notion to him by following his instructions & doing my assigned work.

Mr. Tan is also very avid about his students succeeding in their academic & technical studies; to the point where he's willing to help dedicated students outside of class when given the chance. My math has substantially improved, which has made my mathematics class much more engaging although it's not Mr Tan
job.

In conclusion, I am very fortunate to have a devoted & supporting instructor like Mr. Tan.

I attended the Material Handling Class at San Jose Job Corps, it is a really nice class where you can learn about the logistics industry and get all the credentials you need to be easily employed in this field.

Our teacher Mr. Tan knows a lot about this trade, whenever we have something we don't understand, he would be willing to explain to us, making sure we all understand. He really does cares for the student's success and well-being.

I learnt a lot at Mr. Tan's Material Handling class and have a bunch wonderful of schoolmates. I am grateful for my stay here in Job Corps.

One of the worst programs I have ever been to. The staff is incredibly full of drama , the food is really bad , students have gone through sa , harassment and more at this center and little to no justice was done for these students . You will feel alone here and you will regret the journey . also they rarely have activities for students so your going to be stuck in your room with four other ppl most of your stay and this school does have minors who will be joining you

This place is not the best but, there are a few staff and Instructors that are good. Mr. Tan really helped me with my certification and made sure I was ready to take the exam for my CLA. Mr. Tan is a good teacher.

I was a student at this hell that they call job corps.
They treat you as if you are a prisoner. You can’t leave campus when ever you want. You can’t drink or smoke when ever you want. When I was attending this school Chuck was the one who handled people who couldn’t fallow the rules and he thought he was better than everyone else. I wouldn’t recommend going to this place.

Isaac Ceja

Was a residential student there from 2009-2010. Went there to fill in missing credits for my HS diploma and got some training there. Most of the people were alright because alot of unnecessary drama that occurred but it's best to keep your head down and stay focused. Out of all the people I went there with, I still keep in contact with only one. People complained about the food there also and I did find a dead spider in my salad once. But above all, the food is not too bad and if you're health conscious, you can still make good choices as far as macros goes. Lost 64 pounds when I was there from just eating as clean as I'm allowed to and working out.

Staff wise, never had any issue. However the upper staff that run the place were incompetent. There was a period of time where we all had to be on lockdown due to students sneaking out. Which is ridiculous cause why punish everyone when you can just try to figure out who's been sneaking out and terminating them. Also, on one instance the whole culinary class was sent out and had to stand in front of the cafeteria cause some of them have been caught stealing there. They caught only two that did is and one of them was only there for maybe 4 weeks I think, not long. The other was there for I believe a year and some change, can't remember long ago. But she was there much longer. They terminated the one who was only there a few weeks and placed the other who was there a while on restriction. Like really?! Should have been the other way around.

But anyway, it was good moving to a city at 18 to see a new environment. Above all, for anyone planning on going. Focus on why you're there, and try not too get too close to anyone. If you do make a friend there cool. But most of the people itleast when I was there, were two-faced and full of drama.
